  1. depends if they are anodised or bare rims? most MBs are anodised rims, I think only the race variants were bare rims? R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  2. the combined lowlevel tyre rack and jerry can box pqackage will only take 4 wheels. Because you have the extra weight on the front of the trailer you can set the front wheel choecks further back so your 7 sits further back on the trailer. Take a look at the pictures of the Clubman series on the BJ site and you'll see what I mean. R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  3. BJ do a package for the clubman which is a low level tyre rack and the jerry can/tool box at £199+VAT which seems pretty good value (or £129+VAT for just the tyre rack) - I think they might well fit the Minno as well - give them a call R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  4. I think they are a 'universals, one-size fits all' fit now. Which means they look really crap on a hoodstickless SLR caged car I had to get a professional trimmer to sort mine out. R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  5. after leaving mine (again the bare un-annodised rims) in the garage for a couple of weeks after getting salt on them I had to dismantle the wheels and polish the rims with an polishing wheel and autosol - it took ages and was a pain in the butt. and now they need doing again not a lot of good to you know but my advice would be to stick with the annodised rims. 6. OK thanks for the info. I thought you'd already told the blatchat masses what your engine plans are, does your garage looks like the hangar at Farnborough airfield where they built Thrust SSC then 😬 R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  7. I can't see it on their site, only a DASHTOP SHIFT LIGHT RED at £21+VAT R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  8. Arnie - thanks for the info, could you order me one and come and fit it this weekend 🤔 I'm not sure I have the standard Caterham wiring loom but anyway I guess I can figure it out from the Stack user guide thingy R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  9. Arnie, I'm looking for a suitably large and bright external (oil pressure) warning light that I can put in my line of sight and preferrably trigger it from my stack dash - do you have details of your setup? cheers R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  10. Steve, I think I just used the wooden handle of a hammer to ease it open a little, simple as that here R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  11. Do you mean the bell crank bit is too narrow for the bush? If so from memory I think I had to ease them open a little on my new build so I think it's possibly a common issue. R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  12. I've got the 2 stage scavenge pump (belt driven) and standard Duratec internal pressure pump (mechanically driven of course) and need to get myself some form of early warning. Any suggestions? Can you point me in the direction of the components I might use? R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  13. oh bollox ❗ Mark, I thought you were going to buy them and remove the temptation, I'm desperately trying to avoid these as they seem good value and Fleet's only 10 minutes away - please stop me, if I buy any more used slicks I'm not going to be able to fit the 7 in the garage 😬 R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  14. oh you mean MikeE from the 3M sticky tape people? No I'm the original MikeE (see here 😬) Surprised you've come across another one as it's not a very common name, bet you were disappointed R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  15. Arnie, I'm extremely hard of thinking (especially as I'm winding down since I resigned 😬) so please do me a favour and spell it out in w-o-r-d-s o-f o-n-e s-y-l-l-a-b-l-e and I might be able to answer your question (or is it an insult 😳) R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  16. your 'angle' looks bigger than mine what's an 'MMM' type person R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  17. I can't access your picture Arnie Take a look here, clearly I was wrong the Duratec DTHTB are infact angled upwards slightly. Surely your's must be angled up even more though otherwise you'd have the same problem I had? R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  18. Arnie, I think they're Jenvey 45mm? (branded Raceline) and yes I'm pretty sure they're mounted perpendicular to the engine (i.e. horizontally) so I'm a bit puzzeled how it fit's fine on yours. At the time Peter did say your had to have a modified backplate because your fuel rail was beyond the line of the backplate but I guess you still mount the backplate vertically? Do you have super-wide front suspension as I guess that would give more clearance? R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  19. Arnie, Peter T and I spent a good hour or so working out how to fit one of these airboxes to a Duratec (mine) one day last winter (after I'd helped him move his hot tub 😬). With a flat back plate the airbox is in danger of being hit by the nearside front wheel on full lock. In a K-series (and VX I presume) the engine is canted over (to allow the induction to fit within the confines of the bonnet) and this has the effect of tilting the airbox upwards. On a Duratec the engine's mounted vertically so the induction/airbox is horizontal and therefore much closer to the front mudguard. So the solution is actually to make a 'Duratec backplate' which tilts the airbox up at 20deg or so - yout won't do it with a flat backplate. Having said that I have the Raceline (Jenvey) throttle bodies, with roller barrels their might be more clearance but I'd be surprised if there's enough. Wings?

Don't flame me for this but......looking at a carbon fibre nosecone I can't believe it's mounted rigidly enough to support any significant down force, I think it would just tear off at the fixings R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  21. how did you realise so quickly? R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  22. oh and does that price include air filter? R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  23. it won't fit his duratec without a customer back plate. I suggest he talks to Peter T about the supply of a custom Duratec backplate..... R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
  24. Angus, Take a look at Townends website as they rent a lot of properties in the area, I rent through them in Farnham. For the requirements you have you're looking at £800-£900/month cheers R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
