  1. Thanks John, I got out in it 3 times last year, and I think one of those times was just round the "block". I started to think about selling it when I began to think the cockpit would make additional storage!!!

  3. Thanks Steve, I'll give them a ring tomorrow.
  4. Thanks Dave and Alex. Any idea where I would get a new Banner battery?
  5. I need to change the battery as it has finaly expired but the first lines in the handbook read something like "remove carbs and steering culumn.....", is this the only way? I think I have the original Banner battery (the car is a 91 VX HPC). Is there a better alternative?, not to last longer but just better.
  6. I have just done this. All from Demon Tweeks, T piece M14 X 1.5 to take the VDO unit with I think a 1/8 NTP for the 35psi light pressure sender and Mocal warning lamp. Dave Kimberly at Demon Tweeks sorted it out. Think Auto do the same kit. Edited by - Stuart Wallace on 8 Feb 2006 07:53:47
  7. Kevin, Thanks, I think the tread is M14. My pressure sender is tapped into the remote oil filter housing as the dry sump pump covers the original in the block. Stuart
  8. I need to find out the size of the tread to fit a T piece to fit a low pressure warning light on my VX HPC. Anyone know? Stuart
  9. Paul, O.E rods £380 steel £640 all + VAT. Is there any point in steel rods on OE crank? The steel crank by the way is north of £1100.
  10. Paul, as I only want to do this once I want to be sure of the parts I put in, so I'm only using new parts. I know its more expensive but I don't want the car off the road for more time than it needs to be, I enjoy it too much!! This is the first big money I have spent on the car since I bought it and its retained its value in that time, I would have cirtainly lost more than I have spent in depreciation had I bought any other sports car.
  11. New set of con rods required too!! All over a bloody belt
  12. Arnie, Its about £600+VAT, is that too much?
  13. O.K. the crank's gone too!! So new crank and full set of bearings. The engine is now out and the clutch has eaten into the fly wheel so new light weight steel one is going on with a new clutch. The parts list is getting quite impresive, as is the bill. The crank is on order but will take about 10 days, so looks like it won't get finish until the new year
