  1. You sent me an email saying you were interested in a deal on the Cage and Wheels, the cage had already gone to Pat who was first to offer (and at the asking price). The first to offer to buy just the wheels was Peter so he's got them.
  2. I have the following oil for sale 1 litre of Caterham gearbox oil - £5 1 litre of Caterham differential oil - £5 6 litres of Silkolene Pro S 5W-40 (enough for a complete oil change on a dry sumped Duratec - £61 from Opie Oils) - £30 Would prefer buyer to pick up from Fleet, Hampshire.
  3. They're provisionally sold, for the asking price
  4. I have a small Brise alternator which is almost new (I think I ran it for around 300 miles or so) complete with 65mm aluminium pulley (see both towards the bottom of this page page on the RaceCo Website) This is the alternator thats small enough to be fitted on the exhaust side which is often used for those who have a dry sump pump on the induction side although obviously it could also be fitted this side too (if no dry sump pump). New price (according to the page above) is £240, minimal use so £150?
  5. Now sold! Thats the Caterham, Trailer and Cage all sold for the asking price, nice to deal with people who don't try and dick you around when the stated price is fair
  6. Townley panel and paint in Dartford did mine when new in 2004 and it still looks great after almost 7 years so would highly recommend them. They were certainly significantly cheaper than Caterham (TSK) for a new build but a lot of that may have been Caterhams markup on TSK prices. They'll also do a stripdown and reassembly if you want.
  7. Cage has been sold to Pat subject to payment arriving this week, thanks for all your interest guys
  8. I'm selling my 2003 Brian James Clubman 950 trailer which will take all standard chassis Caterhams (not SVs or CSRs) and fits in a single garage. I have a 2004 SLR cage as fitted to R400 and R500's (yes the curved bar one for De Dion cars) for sale complete with all fixing and wing mirror mounting brackets (no mirrors though), £954 new on Caterham's site so £450? 11. Now sold. I have a trailer, set of 8 spoke wheels and various tyres and an SLR cage for sale now, see separate adverts.
  12. I've decided to sell my 1 owner R400 Superlight with Ammo built 280BHP 2.3l Dry sumped Duratec. My R400 was specced and built by me as a Duratec engined Superlight R400 from new. Given the cost of a new R500D this car is a bargain, it would cost £45K+ to build today All details are in the Pistonheads advert here Duratec R538 Build and Modification Pictures here Edited by - MikeE on 25 Apr 2011 08:55:07
  13. Thanks but I'm really after someone else doing all the hard work for me 😬 Anyone else recommend a place within 20 miles of Fleet?
  14. Need my Raceline 4 into 1 big bore system polished. Last time I had it done (4 years ago) via Raceline (I think Cheesemans did it) I wasn't particularly impressed with the result and the primaries tarnished before I drove out of the garage! Seen some old threads saying it needs to be a mirror finish or it tarninshes again within a few hundred miles. So any recommendations around Fleet?
  15. Whats wrong with the brise one?
  16. My cars had a full SLR cage fitted in the past but now only used for road use so has a standard roll bar. What can I fill the holes with on a temporary basis (i.e. I don't want to fill them permanently incase I ever refit the cage). Needs to be large enough diameter to cover the inevitable paint damage around the mounting holes. thanks for any tips
  17. Simon, as a fellow 7-er in your area I'm intrigued, you're always selling a variety of bits, are you setting up a parts department in fleet?? Edited by - MikeE on 6 Mar 2011 00:36:01

  19. Ah thanks Dave but was after a new one. Mines been playing up after only 6,600 miles so not a lot of sense in replacing with one which may have done 200K I had seen new ones on eBay for £60 but wondered why they were so much cheaper than the official ones at £150?
  20. Where can you get a starter for £20??
  21. Ian I believe an SR3 will do 80hrs and and SR8 will do 40hrs between refreshes so a car based engine should do at least 80 I would have thought? No mail, did you send it direct or via BlatMail? Duratec R538 Build and Modification Pictures here Edited by - MikeE on 11 Dec 2010 10:11:57
  22. 19 hours?? Even a Radical will do that! My mate who bought the Juno (with sealed 250bhp 2.0l Honda VTec and Hewland 6 speed sequential paddle shift) had a lot of conversations with Ewan who owns Juno. Apparently he advises a refresh (or infact just replace with another crated engine) after 120 RACE Hours so I can't see why you would refresh after only 19 hours Infact a Juno is designed to do a 24 hour race so well more than your 19 hours, appreciate its a different engine but the power outputs are similar for the same capacity and I think the VTec revs to 9,000rpm Did Raceline build this engine Ian? If so I'd trust Peters view. Where's Ammo when you need his expertise Duratec R538 Build and Modification Pictures here Edited by - MikeE on 11 Dec 2010 09:35:42
