    *arrowup*According to the Haynes manual for the 16NZ engine it is Multec micro processor-controlled spark timing system with "Hall-effect' distributor. Any help?
  3. Martin. If you cannot sort this I would recommend lesautoelectrics.co.uk at Aylesbury. He is mobile auto electrician and sorted my Caterham a couple of years ago, and not expensive.
  4. Frosts have flaring tool, pipe bender, pipe etc but better (and more economic) to get these made up by a competent restorer if it is to be a one off only job.
  5. This sounds like George Washington's axe Jonathan; first the upgrade back axle and now a new engine. A visit to carbon-bits next? Good luck with the conversion (look out markiebabes )
  6. earlpart.co.uk list the marina/ital rear brake drum on their website priced at £45.82 but if they are becoming rare it would be worth it.
  7. Kevin. it looks like I was a bit quick off the blocks as Rimmer now lists these as NLA. THe Dolly Sprint drums are wider and not suitable; I am not surprised at the brand snobbery (Triumph vs Morris) as it has been mentioned on here before concerning Spitfire components.Perhaps someone on here can tell if there is any other compatability with BL brake components. Perhaps you should not bin those drums just yet techbod.
  8. New ones are only £22 each (Rimmer)....why bother? They have recon. ones but only at a small saving.
  9. Meow. Have a look at waldenengineering.co.uk menu Nova. You will see that he is an ex Bill Blyd.....n engineer specialising in Vauxhall tuning (there is even a Seven on the home page!). This page has not been updated for some time so don't know if he still trades but worth a try. There is always Andy McMillan at Hinkley who is the Graduate guru.

    S3 Torque settings

    According to the LA assembly guide for the Classic (Nov 1999) the standard rollbar should be tightened to 20/25lbft and lap/diagonalbelt fixings 40/45lbft just like the man says .
  12. Wouldn't the ECU shut down the injectors to the redundant cylinders?
