  1. #2 - Have you replaced them with something similar from a different manufacturer?
  2. #39 - the only thing in this thread that I am qualified to comment on is that these are two excellent publications! I also know where I can satisfy my desire for engineering expertise over a beer.
  3. Does anyone have a SPA centre convex mirror that they dont need???
  4. #84 .... Oh its not the speed, its the potential ground clearance, (That is absolutely not the place for speeding) ..... although i have been down the high street a couple of times.
  5. I think its perhaps time to take a group of Caterhams to Berko high street! ..... although the speed bumps are a pain!

I have a Musto sailing cap that has a lanyard that you can clip to your collar which is very handy !! https://www.musto.com/en_gb/ess-fd-crew-cap-80032?color=105&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2a6lnIO9-AIVELLVCh38sADvEAQYASABEgKokfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

    Aero attire

As someone that has just converted to aero, i would be keen to know too! For the short drives ive done so far its been a baseball cap held on with ear defenders, a buff (Which gets blown down my face as i go and requires constant adjustment) and ballistic glasses. Would be great to hear other peoples solutions!
  8. There are a lot of clamps and mounts from Manfrotto that are used for mounting cameras in all sorts of unusual ways that i am sure will be able to solve this quite well. They also do phone clamps that are obviously also compatible.
  9. I didnt think that would be around for long!
  10. Genius! ..... I await your measurements !
  11. Well i can confirm that the noise i hear is nothing like these. Its a much finer sounding ticking noise that is absolutely regular at all speeds, although you can only hear it at lower speeds as i am assuming the noise from exhaust, wind, intake etc drowns it out
  12. A sewing machine, thats exactly it...... but only when its hot?? and doesnt change with engine speed?? (That i can remember anyway)
  13. Now its funny you should say this as i have noticed a loud ticking noise after a longer blat when the engine is inevitably hot. Its at regular intervals about 180 BPM and doesnt vary with speed or engine revs. Mine is a duratec with RBTB's
  14. R500 SV, ..... not many of these made as i understand it, which means they are a rare beastie !
  15. Any advice or recommendation on which piping to use for this ?
  16. On a related note, what hoses are people using for this, and can you post links to suitable items please ?
  17. Some paint on the raised part of the hub with the same repeat experiment would prove or disprove the theory?..... or even paint over the raised part and the flat part as per the first video, then you would see exactly where the contact points were?
  18. Quick question regarding the catch cans .... I currently have a standard plastic one that the engine vents in to, bit no hose or vent out, apart from a perforated bung, so the engine bay gets coated in a thin film of vapour. If an upgraded can is fitted, what is the purpose of the vented cap variety if you are going to use the 'outlet' hose from the can to vent under the car etc?
  19. Am also watching with interest and looking at replacing the standard yellow candle light .
  20. Thanks for putting this together and offering it to everyone, that's very kind of you and much appreciated.
  21. HI James, .... How did i know it wouldnt be somehting simple! Thank you for taking the time to post this. I will have a look at whats on offer as a replacement (Assuming mine is the same!)
