  1. Taller sidewalls give less clearance on the front for me, but is still manageable and causes no issues (But this isn't the same for everyone). As for the feel, i have had no issues with them, they perform well on the road and seem predictable on the limit on my car. Given my usage and realistic ability level, i think they are a great choice.
  2. What a beautiful example. I wish you all the best with the sale, and will take some comfort in the fact you are keeping the R500!
  3. Anecdotally 18psi seems to be a good starting point for 13inch wheels.
  4. I'd be very interested in a copy of the diagrams should you be able to share.
  5. What a lovely car, and welcome to the 500D club! I saw that car for sale recently and the mileage caught my eye as mine was equally low mileage when I bought it! I have looked at getting the valve springs done and got a quote from Premiere Power not long before they closed. The only other place =I have been recommended for work (Not specifically for valve springs) is Northampton Motorsport, who seem to have a very good reputation.
  6. This is a bargain and I can thoroughly recommend this pump!!
  7. There is mention somewhere in the archives that the first port of call for unexplained coolant loss is to check/replace the expansion tank cap (I had a similar issue as i could see coolant residue on the outside of the tank). I'm unsure of the quantities and speed of loss through evaporation/leakage, but replacements are relatively cheap and worth eliminating if you haven't already done so.
  8. Looks like yet another success for the 'hive mind' that is BC!!
  9. A link to the de pinning tool and also the crimping tool used would be really helpful if that's possible ?
  10. What an excellent step by step guide!
  11. When the topic of improvement in quality came up on the latest Zoom meeting, Bob stated that there had been no quality complaints in some time. As a response to this statement i posted a question in the chat asking if the Titan issue would be considered a 'Quality issue', and unless i am mistaken that was the only question that didn't receive an answer.
  12. I have a dry sumped Duratec and usually get 7ish litres out of it. I use a syphon for the dry sump tank as the drain plug is a peculiar size and shape and the thread is made of cheese! I then take the regular oil filter off, and then remove the small finger filter that sits behind a small plastic cover on the nearside at the base of the engine where the sump would have been. i usually get another litre or so out of there. Ive never removed any pipes as ive always had a good volume of the old oil out. Im sure there are other methods and it may vary a little between engine designs. Im a little too far otherwise id happily lend a hand.
  13. If its anything like mine then it also has a drain plug on the opposite lower corner. Much easer less messy than taking the bottom hose off to drain.
