  1. You’re going to hate this… you need to get a bit biblical with the side skin and push it to give you access/clearance to the head of the bolt/nut. Don’t worry - it’s less industrial (mostly!) hereafter…
  2. Me too… to a pre-booked IVA test only (and if it fails, direct to a place of repair/correction).
  3. Banner —> Odyssey was (sort of) like-for-like but latter had a better reputation for longevity and being AGM, could be mounted on its side and I think was a tad lighter. Odyssey —> LiFePO4, yes - weight-saving though neither of the previous batteries had lasted a particularly long time (four and five years respectively from memory) so wasn’t motivated to go back to either.
  4. I replaced my Banner with a PC680 before going LiFePO4…
  5. Minty is more helpful than he is rapid… it’ll be worth the wait. Ironically, he’s slow because he’s busy as he’s so good!

    Cycle Wing Stays

yup; on the right hand side, there is a choice of two wing stays: race/lower, part number: 76102 or standard/higher: 76104. (based on emails with Caterham when I replaced a damaged wing stay with the wrong one! 🤦🏻‍♂️)
  7. or in my case, the testers themselves; one of my IVA failure points was due to a mis-interpretation of the regs by the tester! To be fair, he accepted my subsequent email with *my* interpretation!
  8. I suspect I used a unit similar to this (can’t see far enough back in my eBay purchase history to confirm). Two wires simply piggy-back onto the gauge with the other two are for the LED which I mounted in line-of-sight on the dashboard. There is a simple potentiometer that adjusts when the LED lights.
  9. As above… have modded my gauge with extra resistors to aid accuracy and when my third party low-level light comes on, I can put about 32 litres in. So once lit, I have ~4 litres/30 miles before I get to the unusable bit (~36l of the 41l tank)
  10. I think Soft Bits are that busy that they make stuff to order and so don’t have stock as such…
  11. I have spare key, a spare immobiliser fob and a spare cut-off all secreted (in different places!) about my 7 in case any go AWOL.
  12. Daft questions are the ones you don’t ask!
  13. Advice is to squeeze… I didn’t - just put it on the end of the selector and offered them up into place as a sub-assembly and then did up the three bolts. Think they’re all made by Steve. 🤔
  14. Excellent - many thanks. My issue was that I look at BlatChat as an app, rather than in a browser, and couldn’t work out how to do what has been suggested from there!
