  1. I haven't had any response on phone or email. Do they normally answer questions from customers?
  2. I have not, but I will enquire!
  3. I all, I have a K Series car and the exhaust guard for my catalytic converter perished last year. I see for sale that they have Sigma ones for sale in the official shop but would that fit the converter on my car? It seems like nowhere sells it for K series cars.
  4. I booked two tickets to the scramble but can no longer attend. I am selling both of them for £40 (cost price). If anybody couldn't secure tickets let me know and you can have them.
  5. Eric at Millwoods is currently installing a dry sump system in my 1.8, and I'd be happy to sell you the old sump if you'd like. It might be a few weeks wait however as I'm waiting on parts for the new dry sump.

    Nankang NS2-R

No track experience yet, but on the road it's very confidence inspiring. In the wet I did find it quite slippery but I just drove slower. I like them.
  7. I just caught a glimpse of a mint green seven through Crockham Hill on boxing day. I didn't get a good look at the model but it seemed like a Sprint with steel wheel on the back. Was having a pint with family members.
  8. I can't speak for the actual hearing protection, but as someone who uses one for many hours every work day I can confirm that it massively reduces fatigue. As well, I can't see why it wouldn't prevent hearing damage. The speakers produce the opposite waveform to the incoming sound. That opposite sound wave literally nullifies the first (or most of it as least) sound wave, so your ear drums should vibrate much less.
  9. Thank you so much for the links jbcollier. I had discounted aviation products as usually it comes with the aviation "tax" that makes it vastly more expensive than similar products. I assume it just connects to the car's 12v power (I'm not sure on microlight electrical systems)?
  10. I use my noise cancelling headset daily for work (the aformentioned Bose A20). If I lose my hearing, I lose the medical certificate for my pilots licence and essentially my job, so protecting my hearing is a very high priority for me. Admittedly an Airbus cockpit is relatively quiet, but certainly at takeoff and low altitudes it is noisy enough to warrant hearing protection. The change in noise levels at high altitude is marked as the air is thinner, therefore less air hitting the aircraft. I use some wireless earbuds when driving solo in the Caterham as I enjoy listening to music while driving. When driving with a passenger I recently bought a Terratrip intercom off Demontweeks. The voice quality is just about OK, but music is a no go (nice to have on longer trips with my wife). Hence my interest in how the original poster got the A20's working, because I would be extremely interested in that setup.
  11. May I ask what intercom system you use that accepts A20's. I use mine daily for work and was very keen to use them in the caterham but couldn't find anything. They are by far the best audio quality device I've ever used. I think the question you should ask is do they work well in open top aircraft. I know a guy who flies a Boeing Stearman and uses his A20's for it. If they work open top at over 100mph they should be fine in the Caterham at normal road speeds.

    K Series Dry Sump

Thanks for all the pointers chaps. I will probably have to get the kit professionally installed as I don't have the experience or equipment to be doing any fabricating. Here was me hoping that as the provide a "kit" that it would all bolt on without too much hassle...
  13. I am looking for a bit of advice. I want to dry sump my 1.8 K Series SV, and have been weighing up my options. Availability on the official caterham parts seems a bit patchy, but Pace have said the can provide a kit no problem. They do not provide a tank with their kit, but recommend purchasing one of their easy clean tanks as well. I guess my questions are three fold. Do people who own a pace dry sump system like it? Is it particularly hard to install (I'm relatively handy, but don't work with engines much) Will the easy clean tank fit in my SV (and if so, which size) There are quite a few threads about this on the forum, but most are quite old now, and given that the official parts are getting harder to come by I was wondering if people's opinions on the system have changed.
  14. Don't know who I spotted on the drive into Portishead this evening, but hello! Couldn't spot the registration or colour as the sun was a bit in my eyes but nice to see another one around.
