    Seized seat runners

Thank you both, will give it a try.
  2. I'm trying to fit a Tillet seat in time for Brands on Monday but am struggling to remove the existing Caterham seat runners, as they are seized in a position where I can't access the head of the bolts that go through the floor. Both runners on the drivers side are stuck. Is there a technique to get the runners moving, other than soaking with WD40 which I've already failed with? Thanks Gerard
  3. I went to McMillan yesterday. For the wet they go much higher; 35 psi cold front and rear, remove the front roll bar and disconnect a drop link. For what it's worth I couldn't tell much difference between the Avons and the Toyos other than I was getting more turn in oversteer. My droplinks were as far forward as possible, but McMillan have moved them back.
  4. I'll let you know if they say anything new when I meet them.
  5. The garage that fitted them lent me a big crowbar and I just stuck the end of it against the sidewall. I'm not sure that Mr Toyo would have approved, but it did the trick.
  6. Thank you both, I remembered this morning that there is a race series based on the Toyos with McMillan as one of the sponsors, so I spoke to them. They said for track use Cold - 21 front, 20 rear Hot - 25 front, 24 rear. They also said that if your car has been setup for Avons you will need the car flat floored. They charge £140+vat which seems very reasonable so I'm getting it done next week. In the meantime I'll play around and see what feels right with the current setup. One other point worth mentioning if you make the switch, is that it's worth checking tyre clearance on the front with the mudguard stays as one of my tyres was rubbing slightly, so I've had to bend back the stay. It was never a problem with the Avons. Regards Gerard
  7. 185/60 x 13 and 205/60 x 13
  8. I've now swapped over from ZZS to Toyos and am out at Snetterton on Monday with LoT. Does anyone know what pressures to run them at on track? I've been typically going for 18 cold and 22 hot on the ZZS. Thanks Gerard
  9. Thank you everyone, I've ordered a set from Demon Tweeks, £460.80. No discount for club membership but gave me free next day delivery. Regards Gerard
  10. I'm planning on swapping from Avon ZZS to Toyo R888R but am struggling to find them in the right sizes. My Avons are 215 & 185 55/R13. I think the equivalent front is a Toyo R888R - 185 / 60 R13 80V which is a medium compound. Anyone know the size of the rear and where is best to get them? Thanks Gerard
  11. Hello, Anyone know if you can get a magnetic sump plug to fit a 2017 2.0 litre Duratec? I've used them in the past on KTM race bikes and was always impressed/horrified by the Christmas tree shape of the swarf, when I changed the oil. Thanks Gerard.

    Thank you both, much appreciated.

    Antifreeze

Hello, I'm doing a track day on Wednesday and have just remembered that my anti-freeze is near the minimum following a slight weep from a hose clip. I'm struggling to get hold of the recommended Millers Alpine Red which I think is already in my 360R. Are there any issues with topping it up with another brand / type? Regards Gerard
