  1. I'm not convinced I could say 'no problem'. She feels a bit cautious on the pick up at low revs, and positively stutters when not fully hot. I'm beginning to find it hard to tell, as paranoia is setting in. I'm terrified she's going to fail completely while we're in southern France.
  2. Excuse me nerfing in on this conversation, but I'm having a similar problem, but dunno if its the same engine. My car has been giving similar problems for about the first half or three quarters of an hour of driving, particularly on starting. The enegine is a Sigma. Revs lift, then drop, lift then drop and cut out. I get a similar patter when lifting off or feathering on the approach to junctions and roundabouts. I've looked for the part you've kindly posted a photo of, but can't see it. I'm getting concerned as she's just about to go touring in France.
  3. Just burbled past my house outside Ramsey, Huntingdon, this morning, Sunday, 09:34.
  4. Congratulations. Enjoy. If only there were some way of making it stand out.
  5. Bit late to reply, but ... Bodsey, near Ramsey. You?
  6. I've always found it to be a bit wonky having tea in a Caterham. Don't drink and drive - you spill hot tea in your lap.
  7. Yes! Sorry I'm late picking this up. Was that you plus another in the other direction? I'd just been to the area meeting.

    CR500s

My rear ones were new when I bought the car in 2016. I've now done 11,600 miles and they still have plenty of wear left on them.
  9. The image in the phot looks great. Which ones off ebay? Please would you post a link?
  10. Doesn't anyone here know who makes the roll bars, so we can buy them direct, if CC isn't really interested in us anymore?
  11. I also have an SV and last year I asked CC about getting a track day roll bar. They quoted me 6 months!
  12. Please may I have 1 x cannister, 1 x tool roll and 1 x little red bag. TIA
  13. Roger D. Wilco. Out on this channel.

At Last I have a Seven

Congratulations Mark. Like so many, my first craving for a 7 also came when I was a callow youth of about 12 shot summers, but bloody long winters. In my case, that was so long ago that I had hair on my head, but none on my arse. I've now been an owner for two years and just love them. Yours looks absolutely lovely. I particularly envy the stripe and minilites. I hope you enjoy her at least half as much as I do mine. Oh, and welcome to the fold.
  15. I did ask oodles ago if I could have a complete set, but never heard anything more. I hadn't been in the club very long, so might have misunderstood what I was meant to do to follow up on my request. My apologies if I created any problem. So, yes, Jonathan, I'd still like a full set of tool tube canister, tool roll, bag, etc.. So having flagged up my interest, do I just wait, do I need to register it on the tool tube page of the website, or do i need to do something else to follow it up?
  16. I'm getting the same image. I don't think its the bouncing speedo, 'coz its steady at 100!
  17. I was going to buy the full new system, and visited them to have a look at the range, after reading about their 'Kit Car' package on their website, so was ready to make the purchase at something like the £200 price that was advertised. I was looking to buy two sets, as one was for an oppo so we could communicate when touring. Then the person that showed it to me told me in a very high-handed manner, that to have the headsets, rather than simply the speakers and microphone, as intended for helmet mounting, was going to almost double the price. I couldn't shake off the feeling that customers were being ripped off over the whole pricing. There are other systems which cost nothing like as much. I became thoroughly annoyed about the whole thing, so bought a second hand Autocom set on ebay for a fraction of the price. I can, however, certainly recommend having an intercom for touring. It makes a huge difference.
  18. I can also recommend Northampton Motorsport for it. And always several other interesting cars to have a bit of a scruit around while your there.
  19. I have two whopping big blind spot mirrors mounted above the front suspension. They came with lights fitted to the front of them. Re adjusting the door mirror, if I open the 'elbow flap' of the side side screen I can just about tweak the mirror, though doing it on tight bends is a bit hairy 'coz I spill hot tea in my lap.
  20. What a good question. I'd like to know the answer. Anyway, be honest, you're just thinking about having them 'coz you think it'll look cool and would match your fake carbon fibre black bonnet stripe!
  21. OK, thanks. I've tried looking up the make, but can't find it. If you have a problem posting a picture, post a link to a website where I can view it.
  22. Dear Mr. Flash, Do you still have any of those green and yellow wheel centres? Regards A.
  23. When you say Woolea, what does this mean. Are you able to provide a link so I can see a picture of one? Regards A.
