Northern Banana
When running an interchangable screen and aero and you have the wipers removed where do you source the black plastic/rubber covers for the wiper nuts? Thanks

Delbert
Pity they charge and extra £7.59 for shipping and local taxes (£1.60) an item that is retails at £1.99 ends up just short of a tenner Guess the search continues
Titanium7
I found the ordinary IVA nut covers left over from the build fit perfectly http://thumbsnap.com/i/MyXMOcSZ.jpg?0102
Ivaan
Any supplier of steel reinforcement will be able to supply a debonding sleeve for dowel bars. These are about a foot long and can be cut down to the 3/4" that's needed. I think 16mm fits. They'll probably give the things to you, since they're only about 20p each. Delbert
Ahhh, thanks two good ideas . Funnily enough I am in a fixing yard next week so may be able to purloin a couple and in Caterham Midlands as well . BBL
I found them (here in the U.S.A.) available in red, black, blue, green, white, and clear from ULINE for 18 cents each (0.11 GBP), but with a minimum buy quantity of 50 - still only 9 bucks American, plus tax and shipping. I sent this information to Carl at Seven Speed, but he never replied, so I assume he was not interested. I also found some sold as "thread protectors" in gray at my local home improvement store (Home Depot) for under a dollar U.S.
elie boone
Surely you must find this at B&Q or other sorts, it's used on metal chairlegs.
Paul McKenzie
Yes, mine came from B&Q
Mucus72
Hi Paul - off to B&Q to acquire a pair. What should I ask for? Do I look for "chair leg / floor protectors' ?
LesG
Let me know how you get on Mucus; I'm interested in the very same thing (I will be keeping the screen for blats around the Lakes)
Mucus72
Got nowhere in B&Q Les. Bough what I thought would be OK - 18mm (smallest diameter available). They were just over £3 for 4 in a sealed bag in the door furniture aisle sold under chair floor protectors. Got home and much too big. Will check B&Q online when next near a computer. LesG
Those 16mm ones from CBS look about perfect, just need a little length taking off them? Might be worth buying a few packs, then mailing out pairs to interested parties, would be cheaper postage in the long run?
Stationary M25 Traveller
From past experience CBS charge something like £7-ish for delivery. But if you phone and speak to them, they can post the order .... charging £3.50-ish. PS .... These values were a year or two ago
Mucus72
CBS had a cheaper Royal Mail service. Just paid £7.80 for 5 in a bag delivered. If anyone wants to split then when I have received and checked they work I may have 3 going spare...
