  1. It could be the fuel sender unit bouncing around in the tank. Does it happen when the tank is full or empty?
  2. Ditto here. Worked for years over a drafting machine, then converted to the first CAD systems. All Civils. Still have my full boxed set of railway curves.
  3. I’ve got that Corgi Rover in my attic somewhere. Bought with my pocket money savings when about 7-8 years old!
  4. Hi Jenkss1, I’m interested in the new black pair. Do they have the K series exhaust cut out? Where in the country are you, should I wish to collect? Cheers Clive
  5. Thanks David, Niel. I’ll give Jon a call.
  6. Would anyone know if these carbon rear wing protectors are available anywhere?

    Repairing PPF

I’ve got a couple of damaged areas of Paint Protection Film on the sides of my car. It’s blistered and peeling off. Is there a good method for repair? Can it be cut out and patched without damaging the side skins? Cheers, Clive
  8. Hi John, I suspected as much, but it's a shame, as there doesn't seem to be anyway a "normal" member can communicate with the others in the group. WhatsApp seems to be the only way of doing this and that takes a lot of traffic off of Blatchat. Cl;ive
  9. In the "Areas and Groups", Area Blog option, how do you create a Blog? Could this be a way one member notifying the others in the group that they're just heading out on a Blat should anyone else want to join them? How are the "Followers" notified of new Blog entries? Thanks in advance, Clive ( aka Ivaan )
  10. Weds 16th August. Surprised to see an S4 by the reservoir Caffi. Hope you had a good day!
  11. I usually use WD40, but I've just used some silicone lubricant spray for the first time, and the results look promising. Maybe it'll seal the CF better?
  12. Hi all, Selling the car on behalf of my daughter whose now working in Dubai. Masda MX5 1.8Ltr Folding Hartop version:- Just serviced New MOT 41,500 miles Air con Newish tyres & brake pads A few stone chips and marks as expected for vehicle of this age / mileage Runs great. Amendment: I am now aware of the previous history of this car. Before my daughter owned it, in 2016, it was stolen and returned as a Cat D insurance write off. The car was then repaired, MOTed and put back on the road. The price has therefore been reduced to £5,100. Car in Shrewsbury. For more information or photos please BM me. Thanks, Clive
  13. My old K series had a neat arrangement for the boot cover. It had a square U channel sitting on its side along the front edge of the boot. There were slots/ openings cut in the channel for the belts, and the boot cover was fixed to the top of the channel. Kept it all tight and added about 20mm to the boot height at the front.
  14. Is there a difference between bump steer and the steering wheel kick that happens when hitting bumps / pot holes? The kick is caused by the sudden extra force through the wheel hitting the obstruction. On a tin top the power steering tends to remove the kick?
  15. I have ABS front wings and half doors. They are lighter than CF, are indestructible, don't mark from stone chips and about 1/8th of the cost. Half doors have to be trimmed to fit, and can be shaped using a heat gun. You need special gloop to stick the cycle wings ( Sika 292??) that adheres to ABS. Mine have been on the car for over 10 years without any problems.
  16. These are the Millwood ones. Now 10 years old. The offside ( not protected by the exhaust ) has lost some of its surface to stone damage, but is still doing the job. The gel coat on the outer edges of the wings themselves was quite damaged by stone chips when using the CC ones.

    Upgrade

    Aeroscreen. Changed the whole experience
  18. If you use a small round magnet, like one of those retrieving tools, you can find the location of the holes in the chassis. The magnet sort of self centres at the hole location. Certainly good enough to locate a pilot hole. Worth a try before drilling out rivets.
