  2. Mk 3 2000E wasn't manufactured in 1970. This is from a Mark 2 Cortina
  3. There is a very different feeling to brake (clutch) fluid and engine oil on your fingers. If it was clutch fluid, expect to find the level has dropped in the master cylinder.
  4. So, this system is still available.
  5. Flanges on primaries are rectangular with 4 bolts each. This was from a Ford BDR engine. Finish is lightly tarnished but would polish up well. Example photo attached.

  8. I filled the space with a spiral membrane of silicone sealant
  9. I would say they all go on the terminal without the nut fitted at the moment.
  10. +ve goes to the terminal on the starter motor that is switched by the solenoid to operate the starter. otherwise it would be running the whole time ! Same terminal connects onwards to the alternator output terminal.
  11. Assume it wasn't an airlock clearing after recent work, and you have now replaced that volume of air.
  12. Water pump shaft seal, coolant runs under the engine.
  13. I wouldn't like to drive it on the road with 40/20 pressures !!
