  1. Or, keep your phone in your pocket and use a Beeline motorcycle SatNav. For minimal visual intrusion combined with the "at a glance' route directions. This is the original Beeline which I have had for 2 years now, but I have just ordered the new 2024 Beeline (larger screen, extra features etc) ...
  2. Can you tell me more about the SV tonneau cover please? 1 - Is it the type in 2 parts zipped together down the middle? 2 - Is it for standard leather seats with head restraints on? Thanks
  3. There is a pair of S3 standard half doors for sale on eBay currently at this location: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266733344836? £295 or Offers Considered [I can't vouch for these but I spotted them earlier today]
  4. I like Melbourne - only been once for an exhibition for 3 days (yes - thats right - all that jet lag for only 3 days!).
  5. I have just seen todays Merlin Motorsport information email which announces the new availability of a special 'Merlin Muffler'. How it would fit a Caterham I am not sure, (maybe OK only on a rear exit exhaust??) but I thought that it might be of interest for those that do track days to read about: https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/merlin-mild-steel-racing-muffler-m-ex-muff-4
  6. My Momo wheel is the same orientation as Phil G's, but opposite to yours. I am pretty certain that the normal standard from Caterham was the 'warning sign' bolt arrangement (not 'give way'), but either version works (in your case after reversing the U/J) ... [I don't know why my picture loaded upside down, but you get the picture] ...
  7. That Cambiare fuel pump is available on Ebay (model number VE523021) for £79.03 at the link below and appears to have free delivery AND a 20% extra discount using code RENEW20. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/335291640024 [I do not know if this part will fit - I am just responding to the OP's first post mentioning that part name and number. The compatibility chart on Ebay does show that this part number is compatible with a wide range of Ford cars]
  8. This was an earlier thread on re-calibrating the fuel tank pump float (to give better, and definitely more accurate fuel gauge readings) which shows the typical Caterham fuel pump/float arrangement for Duratec and Sigma cars:
  9. I am absolutely not an expert on fuel pumps but the float on the one pictured is very different to the ones fitted in most Caterham's I.e white plastic and round
  10. Insurance?? [Most insurance companies would expect both an immobiliser and steering lock nowadays]
  11. Thank you Paul - good advice. Maybe the best solution for me is to get the Optimill zero backlash quick release hub as sold by Sevens & Classics. Those parts are made for Land Rovers, but so are a number of other Caterham/Lotus Seven parts over the years. The Optimill kit uses the existing steering column without removing it, and does not impact teh steering lock at all. https://www.sevensandclassics.com/online-shop/p/quick-release-steering-wheel-boss
  12. Thank you to all the responders so far. The liberal lubrication with silicone is a good tip, plus making sure the lockable steering is definitely unlocked - i guess that is what the long machined slot in the new column is for - presumably for the lock mechanism to engage with. My column nylon bushes appear to be in good condition, so I won't need to replace them I hope (but I know Redline Components should have them anyway). Has anyone changed the nylon column bushes - I saw somewhere that this was a tricky/awkward job?? My car is an SV but I recall also seeing that the S3 and SV column length should be the same - someone in an earlier thread said it was 420 mm long.
