  1. I have a load (40mm length) in black with Allen key heads. PM me and I'll send you a couple. Simon
  2. I've never seen a helmet checked at a track day. If you do have a problem, most circuits have helmets that can be hired for around £10 so I would just do that (I assume Silverstone would do this as well). Simon
  3. You should be able to adjust the pedals to get them lined up such that the accelerator pedal is beside the brake pedal when braking. This is either done in the pedal box (pedals have 2 or 3 positions) or by adjusting the accelerator pedal by gently bending it. The heel and toe technique for a 7 is more "toe and toe" in that the ball of your foot is half on the brake pedal and then you use the other half of the ball of your foot to blip the throttle (rather than your heal). Hope that makes sense! There are plenty of videos on YouTube that show this in action. Simon

    Harness

Hi I bought these recently from a fellow club member. They're for an S3 (I stupidly didn't check as I have a CSR and they are too short...) and other than the straps being dirty are in excellent condition. Willing to pass them on for what I paid for them (delivery was £12 if I remember correctly). Titon 6 Point Harnesses - Red 2 pairs - SOLD Titon 6 point unbranded on the shoulder straps in date to end of 2018. Could do with a wash in soapy water to remove general road grime but in excellent condition. Pull up lap strap adjustment.£90.00 + delivery. Let me know if you are interested. Simon
  5. Hi My Mini is up for sale after taking the decision to buy a new car and trailer to take the 7 to track days. It was registered in March 2014 by Mini and used as a demonstrator for a year until I bought it in March 2015. It's covered just over 17,000 miles. It's the 2.0 litre version, orange with black stripes, black leather interior and has pretty much every optional extra except reversing sensors. I spent a lot of time finding the right one at the time. It has the Mini TLC pack (free servicing which I believe is 5 years but will check) and is due a service soon which I will get done. I've just added a years extra Mini warranty which will expire on 28/2/18. One of the front wheels has some kerbing but otherwise is in great condition. Looking for £12k ovno for a quick sale. PM me if interested or want photo's. Simon
  6. Length is 3300mm and width 1685mm so a bit bigger than that! Think I may have one...
  7. Hi I'm looking to buy a trailer that will fit a CSR. Prefer double axle. Wheel rack / storage not important though would be nice to have. Simon
  8. Booked! RedBullWings, I'm also heading up from Kent but will likely go early in the morning. Simon
  9. Hi Sent you a PM re the catch tank. Simon

  12. Hi Jim Dipstick please if still available. YHM Simon

    Avon tyres

The diameter goes from 557mm to 576mm so and increase overall of 19mm meaning you need an extra 10mm under the wing / wing stay. I fitted these to my CSR and had to do a bit of fettling to get around 10mm clearance at the front and back of the wing (no problem with the stays). Simon
  14. 3m Velcro for me. Simon
  15. Hi David Great choice of 7! You can get to the socket if you remove the rear wheel. I did the same as you recently - it's fiddly but achievable. I took the opportunity to replace the socket with a dual USB version off eBay which is much more practical (and sealed which the Caterham version isn't) Let me know if you want any more info. Simon
  16. I use a good quality carnauba car wax which seems to do the trick. I add a layer each time I wash the car.
  17. Hearing and eye protection are a must in my opinion.
  18. Hi Neil Mine is a CSR as well. I'm not entirely sure why the bracket solves the problem but it does mean that the sensor has more adjustment both in distance from the ring and it's position on the ring. It also means that the wires coming from the sensor are no longer bent or tight up against the caliper. When I refitted the sensor, I also covered the wires in heat shrink tubing which may also help. I used to have exactly the same symptoms as you but since the mod it's been absolutely perfect. Simon
  19. During a chat at the Kent Breakfast Blat this morning, one of the group was telling us that despite the 'earth' mod on his speed sensor, his speedo needle was still jumping around and, on the motorway, was dropping to zero. I explained how I had made a small bracket from alluminium which allowed the sensor to be re-positioned and that I hadn't had any problems with mine since doing this. Here are a couple of photo's showing the bracket and sensor in it's new position. Very simple mod which took about 30 minutes to do.
  20. Always had a problem with the speedo needle jumping around and, on track, just dropping to zero. The speed sensor in the rear hub had very little space and the wires were bent and prone to chaffing. So I made a small bracket from scrap aluminium which positioned it much better and I haven't had a problem since!
  21. Hi Doc. Money sent via PayPal. You might want to delete those details in your previous post as this is an open forum... Have messaged you with my home address for delivery. Simon
  22. I had Toyo T1R's on my previous 7 (1.8 VVC Roadsport with 15" rims) and really liked them. Several other seveners like them too. I drove in all weathers and did track days with them and would have bought them again. Highly recommended by me. Simon
