  1. Hi all I have, for sale, a 2012 Mondeo 2.0ltr TDI estate that I bought this time last year in order to tow my CSR to track days. The CSR and the trailer have now gone and, having moved to France, I want to replace it with a left hand drive car. The car was serviced and MOT'd in August 2017 by Ford and had 4 new tires 1 year ago. There is a full service history though not all done at Ford garages (previous owner leased the car from new then bought it once the lease expired). The car has done around 5k miles since I purchased it but will have around 1000 more as it's currently in the South of France. It's Titanium spec so has pretty much electric everything (although the reversing camera is a bit hit and miss which is a known problem with these cars). There are a few minor knocks / scratches on the white paintwork and kerbing on the wheels. The interior is half leather and in great condition though the floor of the huge boot is a bit worn in places. It's a great car, really comfortable and has loads of room for all those track day necessities. If anyone is interested, please PM me for more information and pictures. Will be putting it on Autotrader in the next couple of weeks but I thought I'd put it on here first. Simon
  2. I have the following free to anyone who wants to collect or pay the postage for. They need to be gone by Friday! They are adult sizes. 1. Tillet rib protector (these are around £200 new) 2. Sparco rain suit (excellent to have in the boot of your aeroscreened 7 for that unexpected downpour...) 3. Sparco neck protector (round, sits below the helmet) in blue (could be used for trackdays). Prefer all 3 to go in one box. Postage will be about £15 I think. Regards Simon
  3. I had a PRG beavertail for my CSR and it was excellent. Highly recommended. Simon

  5. Thanks for all the interest in the car and other bits. I have decided that, should the purchaser of the car not want any / all of the other bits, I will post them up at a later date, with prices, and then take dibs at that point. Hopefully that will be fair. Simon
  6. Due to plans to move abroad in the (hopefully) near future, my CSR 260 is reluctantly for sale. This is a well known car in Kent and was part of the recent Low Flying feature 'Model Cars'. PM me if interested or for full spec but highlights are; - 2007 CSR 260 in green with florescent yellow stripes, decals and '7' grill. - Carbon tillets. - Swoopy dash. - Just over 18k miles (bought at 10,500 in May 2014). - New windscreen this year. Doors, half hood and shower cap. - New clutch in 2016. - New wheels and ZZS tyres in 2016. - Carbon light blocks, indicator pods and wheel arches / cycle wings. - Personalised number plate 'S14 CSR'. I also have a large selection of spares including full set of wheels with CR500's fitted, Aeroscreen, half doors and tonneau, new 'Just Add Lightness' rear LED cluster (unfitted), Softbit's Re-bag and various bulbs, nuts and bolts etc. that will be offered to the car purchaser first. Simon
  7. There have been issues whereby the speed sensor causes a fuse to blow which disables the car. The only solution being to disconnect the sensor before replacing the fuse (can't remember which fuse but when it happened on a new 420 just outside the Eurotunnel on the French side, it was definitely the last one we pulled out!). Having made a bracket to reposition my sensor, I always intended to put a fuse in line at the sensor end so that, if the sensor broke, it wouldn't disable the car. Never got round to doing it though...
  8. All fixed, back on the car and only £30! Now all it needs is some plish when I have 5 minutes...
  9. Have a local company going to weld this tomorrow. Fingers crossed... I need to look at a centre mounting to stop this happening again. Simon
  10. Noticed this today while out for a blat. Anyone know if this can be re-welded. It's the section with the CAT so don't really want to have to buy a new one if I can help it. Simon
  11. It may have been the previous owner, who had 'upgraded' the cycle wings to carbon, that applied the Silkoflex (or other similar product). I assumed that was how it was supposed to be so re-applied when I refitted. Re the rears, other than Avon, I could find nothing in 245/40R15. Let me know if you find anything! Simon
  12. I fitted ZZS's to my CSR last year and have had no problems to date (touch wood) with the cycle wings or stays. Mine are carbon so, as you say, they flex which probably helps. The trickiest part of the job was separating the wing from the stay where it bolts on on the inside of the wheel as it's held additionally with Silkoflex. Once this was done though it was straightforward to get a suitable gap at the front and rear and reapply Silkoflex and bolt the wing in place. I did look for other makes of tyre at the time but could find nothing suitable for the rears so stuck with Avon. I prefer the ZZR's to CR500's - the ride is a bit harsher but all round a much better tyre in my opinion. Simon
  13. I did this on my CSR last year and agree, a great improvement over the CR500's.
