  1. Be warned, my 2008 CSR had grease nipples but they were boxed in with a strengthening panel held by circa 36 rivets and so couldn’t be seen or accessed. No mention in service details. Shaft failed when one fell out c/w all the grease. Replaced it with greased for life shaft.

    Rust!

Tidy up then POR15 and ACF 50, then check annually. Used to put black electrical tape on front wishbones and again check or replace every winter.
  3. The other 7 that I reversed into at Donnington was difficult to see, perhaps because he had an aero and driver hidden by my seat headrest. My stupid fault but resolved by trading for an Elise (which hasn’t much better rear visibility!).
  4. What about a blue tooth reversing camera - with lowered floor just about impossible to back up.
  5. #4/#6 Aberfoyle, Duke's Pass, Lochearnhead, Killin, Kenmore, Aberfeldy, Sma' Glen, Crieff. Did this on Thursday, if you only do one don't miss this. Loch Long route great if you get it empty but about only one passing place. If staying near Glasgow, take an evening run for Fish & Chips in Inveraray. Great road south of Lochgilphead, call in to Crinan, down to Campbeltown back up to Tarbert take the ferry to Port Avadie then over to Hunter's Quay and ferry over to Gourock.
  6. Also check the universal joints on the prop shaft.
  7. Anyone used Zello as phone walkie talkies? Friend and I were going to Alps in bikes and 7 and were going to try using this to communicate. Worked ok in tests between his helmet and my headset out of the car but Covid caused our plans to be abandoned and haven't (yet) tried it again.
  8. Oilyhands, Dave Andrew's, (DVA) is the go to person on the k series. Check out his website DVApower if you haven't already.
  9. Plenty in the archives and something last week - do a search.
  10. We need details of what you've got and where you are,and well done.
  11. A large number of Sevens spotted and photographed, earlier this week in Invergarry, presumably doing the NC500. Looked like, perhaps, a Fisher Fury with the group.
  12. Never seen a leather one. All I'm sure made from the same material as the hood and boot cover. Don't think a leather one would appreciate getting wet.
  13. Be careful if car needs warranty or goodwill work after purchase.
  14. If oil was leaking from dry sump flow/return it would have to partly fill the bellhousing to leak out there - circa 5l of oil I would guess. Also oil leaking from the crank seal would need some volume to reach there. Either way if there was sufficient to splash up to that level, in any case you would have significant clutch slip from oil on the flywheel/clutch. Suggest removing the starter and running a finger around inside to see if there's any oil before going any further. Suspect your oil leak is elsewhere or residue from tower leak.
