  1. Spotted, Green with yellow noseband on the B road approaching Stoney Stanton, Leics about 2pm this afternoon. I was towing my 7 and beeped, you waved back. Looked like you were enjoying the sunshine Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  2. Domus, Perhaps see you Friday afternoon, mine should be there somewhere, if you see me with either a blue SV or a silver Disco & trailer, please say hello if I haven't clocked you by then Rik Edited to add, this thread is up to 13 pages now, and should be seen as more of an indication of how great this place is and how people have been so ready to help me (and others) Have fun on Friday Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here Edited by - Windy Corner on 9 Sep 2009 19:56:20
  3. A black Seven on Belgian (?) plates XSA 363 parked up in Stop 24 Services on the M20 at Folkestone. We had just come back from Lille via the tunnel Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  4. Please don't get me wrong, this 11 page epic was started to solve a seemingly innocent niggly problem. It turned out to be a mapping problem that Caterham have now fixed, certainly in my case, to my satisfaction. The support I got from Brett at Cat Mids, and discussions with Robin at Dartford, couldn't have been better. My 150 is now fine, and is the car I want it to be, I would have liked the 175, but I settled for a used 150 as I thought the 125 would always be wanting a little extra....If a used 175 had been about, I would have considered that, but now I know about the issues I would have no problem recommending a 150 to anyone. Also I have spoken to many 150 owners who have had no such issues and are pleased with their lot, "if it aint broke, don't fix it" I don't know about warranties as I bought mine "pre-owned" from Cat South, who gave me a 6 month warrranty that Cat Mids honoured admirably. Domus, suggest you ask Caterham about your warranty concerns, and test drive both, like I did if you can. Where are you test driving, Midlands ?? I should be there Friday at some point........... 8. Thanks for the response Mav, but where do I find this elusive guide ? apologies for being a numpty but tried 7faq, grey banner at top of page, faq's, title index ?????, nothing under c for cadwell, h for hotel, g for good ? I did find Keddeston on a previous thread as well as the Admiral Rodney, so I guess I've answered my own question ................... Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  9. Can anyone recommend a good trailer friendly B&B or hotel near Cadwell for the Sunday night ??? With even perhaps a curry house nearby ?? Rik Edited for carp tryping Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here Edited by - Windy Corner on 30 Aug 2009 16:20:32
  10. My Manual doesn't mention an oil warning light (but its a Sigma 150) but then I haven't got the brake fluid light either ???? R Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  11. Spotted in Walton on Thames parked up in AP carpark. We were visiting so left a card on you screen. Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  12. Farreaster's photos can be found here He'll be along soon to add some detail I'm sure Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  13. Apologies for hijacking, but it is related.......... I have a set of fairly new A539's which I intended to use for touring as I always thought that they would shift standing water better than the CR500's I also have. I am in no doubt that the CR500 is the better tyre for the dry but what about standing water ??? those little grooves compared to the gutters on the A539's just don't seem like they will ever work in the wet ??? Or am I just plain wrong... suppose I'll have to play with both in the wet to see... Any thoughts ???? Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  14. After the new map, my idle speed dropped to 900 rpm from about 1050-1100, seems fairly stable though and hasn't shown any sign of stalling yet. R Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  15. Pete, I wouldn't have thought Brett would have changed the throttle quadrant as part of the routine procedure. Not sure how to tell the difference between throttle quadrants, as I haven't seen the new one yet, but if Farreaster could email me some photos I would be happy to host them. Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  16. Saw a black H Registered Caterham southbound on the A423 just south of Southam, Warwickshire, today at about 2pm-ish Waved but I don't think you saw me, I was in the silver Disco stuck in a queue behind the Cemex tanker. Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  17. Malcolm, Be interested to hear the result of the new throttle quadrant. Any chance that when you recieve it you could post some old & new photos, to enable us to see the difference. At £50 it is marginal whether I would do it, but you never know.......... Thanks to all who keep updating this thread, it seems to have become a good resource for all Sigma 150 owners Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  18. Rog, Try this here Its a bit longwinded now, but fast forward to page 8 or 9 or so, Everyone that seems to have had the new map, seems to think it an improvement Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  19. That makes sense Adrian, mine already had the bracket, as the car was originally supplied without the spare wheel. 😬 Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  20. Why can't you use the same one ??? I added a spare wheel carrier and relocated the original light, then have also removed the carrier, so put light back again, now it back on again so light relocated again. Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  21. Forgot to add, lots of good stuff here R Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  22. Bob, I've added the pictures of when I took mine out to here . But I don't think yours is an aero one like mine. I'm sure someone will be along in a mo, who has the same filler as yours (although perhaps the internals aren' that different 🤔 Let me know if you want a hand when you take the plunge.
