  1. Hi, Do you have any pictures of what this looks like on the car ?? I.e. is it the one that stops the door opening ?? Thanks Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  2. Spotted exiting Brinklow, going towards Pailton about 4.40pm this afternoon. I was in a Volvo about 4 cars behind you. Couldn't get your number as you didn't hang around !!! Maybe get mine out tomorrow............ Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  3. Spotted, Green with black wings, on Saturday 27th, just south of Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome in Leicestershire. I was in the Silver Disco parked up on the grass, while you flew past only to meet some inconsiderate horses. Made me wish I was out in mine Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  4. Mine is on its 3rd Diff, all under warranty and sorted by Caterham without a quibble. Sounded just like BadBobs............... Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  5. Welcome Joel and best of luck with the Academy, I'll be looking out for you..... Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  6. Spotted Orange FG** OUL southbound on the A426 between Leicester and Lutterworth at about 2.20pm this afternoon. We were in a grey (aren't they all) Volvo going the other way but wasn't quick enough to flash the lights, you looked liked you were having fun and made me feel as though I should have got mine out this weekend Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here

Black and aluminium, spotted near to Church Brampton Station (Lamport Railway) at about 2.40pm this afternoon. You were towards the railway station away from the A508 and we were the Volvo V50 coming the other way. I think you had your hood up, at is was perishing cold, but it made me wish I was in mine though !! Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here

  9. Just a quick query just to check I haven't lost all my marbles......... Since I have had the car, over a year now, the fuel tank has always become pressurised, whether by hot weather, or whatever. The tank breather doesn't seem to relieve this, so while the car is in bits, I thought I would look at it. It appears I can blow into the tank through the breather, but air connot escape ??? Is that right ?? I understand that air needs to get in to replace the fuel, so that is okay, but surely air has to get out as well ? perhaps my valve is blocked in some way. I found a posting of SM25T's showing the TSB for the breather and mine does look like that, but not sure if something is amiss or not. Any help gretafully recieved Thanks RIk Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  10. Thanks John, Sounds as though all is okay but its nice to know. Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  11. My Sigma 150 has an oil catch tank on the LHS of the engine compartment. I have twice now had to empty it, with a bout 2 inches of oil in it each time. Does this mean I / CCM have overfilled the engine and it chucks out the excess, or is some excess a good thing ?? Any guidance appreciated Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  12. White Caterham seen westbound on the M56 near Chester, we were going the other way and saw you in the middle lane at about 12.00 ish ?? R Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  13. Agree with JV, that does sound odd, especially as you can touch the exhaust can from the drivers seat. I'm glad mine is fitted, can't see the point in having one for the cat and not the exhaust ???? Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  14. Jeff, My SV150 has a guard for both exhaust and cat, slotted aluminium. My foam is on the sides rather than the bonnet Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  15. Green with a white helmet, Q235 ??? Spotted by SWMBO near Lidl / Aldi roundabouts Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  16. My 150 doesn't have a heat problem, I have full screen and doors, need the heater in the winter though, so sometimes wish some more heat would find its way in. Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  17. John, Can't help with Photos (as my car is still at Caterham ☹️) but they are fitted in the leading face as you say. The accelerator has the angled collar as it needs to be at a slightly different angle for the throttle to hit it. Makes more sense for them to be there as it feels really solid (i.e. you know you've hit it). Fitting them at the top would perhaps enable you to bend the pedal (or something else) Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  18. Welcome Ivor Wherabouts in Leicester ?? there are a few of us around locally. I run Yokohama A539's as a road tyre, seemsto work okay, but it depends on what you have.... 13" or 14", I assume you won't have 15's with Yoko's ?? Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  19. Tim, Sounds like the usual symptoms of the older maps. As Russ & Toby said, new map should make a world of difference, when they update it, they also isolate the MAP sensor and recalibrate the Throttle Position Sensor. Should be Free of charge, but you need to get it to Midlands, Caterham or Dartford. Mine was done while you wait, took about 30 mins at Cat Mids Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here Edited by - Windy Corner on 25 Sep 2009 22:22:40
  20. Can't help, but ours broke and we got a replacement for £10 from a man in our local market, he normally sells all sorts of vacuum cleaner bags, but said he has a stock of broken machines that he occasionally robs for parts for customers May be worth a try............ 21. Alan, As long as all the offsets are right for a De Dion, I'll have them. I will blatmail you my contact details Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  22. I too would like to add my thanks to all who made my first track experience, one to remember. Especially to Mav for the passenger laps, and Chris, Jason, Humphrey & Martin for an enjoyable curry 😬 I was the slow blue one, and apologies if I held anyone up, but everyone was so nice about it, I may have got away with it........ Will post some pictures soon Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  23. Alan, Are these still for sale ?? Rik Roadsport SV 1.6 Sigma 150 in Viper Blue here
  24. Sorry to have missed you on Friday, you could have sat in my SV, with which I have don the same as exfordy, the pedals are on the nearmost setting with the seat not quite all the way back, so that the gear stick is more to hand. When I was choosing, Nick summed it up with "having an SV means never having do decide which shoes to wear" !!!! And I agree, what with the roomier cockpit, more luggage space, fuel tank is meant to be bigger (but not really) there wasn't much else to decide. Edited to add, I am fairly sure that their two demonstrators have 15" wheels and CR500's so should be the same.
