  4. Neil - Thanks Mike has been in touch. Looking at your car it is the same vintage as mine, which is also Red / Ally and clams. 1700 Super Sprint Mine had a 'bench' seat but that was changed for 'Pre S Type' leather seats. (You will get to know the different types in time) Enjoy driving it, not polishing it........... Richard
  5. Mike, a bit cheeky - but if Rob's friend is not interested in 'Top Wishbone' conversion bits I would like them. I'll send at Blatmail. Richard
  6. When looking for a FIA roll bar he will need a 'Live Axle' Long cockpit. When looking side on at the car, the up right of the hoop appears to lean slightly forward (top forward) The up right on a Short cockpit is 'Vertical'. When the roll bar is removed you will find the year and Arch gig no. Stamped on the point where the up right attaches (drivers side). Richard
  7. Depending how easy it is to replace the glass I also would be interest in a heated screen if a BB happens. Richard
  8. My Haynes manual says Torque as follows (Lb f ft) 1. 5 2. 21 to 31 3. 52 to 56 4. After 10 to 20 mins wait 66 to 71 5. After engine has warmed up (15 mins at 1000 rpm) tighten up 66 to 71 So you could stop after step 4 and carry out final torque down when you are ready to start the car. Richard
  9. SWIBO and I recently bought one from Carphone Warehouse. she does not have high data usage and got a great deal. took out a sim only on O2 at £10pm and the deal was £50 off a phone, so bought the 4S new for £150 Richard
  10. I think this was once owned by Stuart Heath - I am not 100% sure. i know Stuart sold his Fireblade in about 2012. Richard

  20. Yes - Red Ali Engine now working fine. I have a session booked with the '2 Steve's' on 23 Sept for a 'fine tune' to the 3d mapping in installed at the same time as the re-build. It put a 😬 on my face as you pulled away (strong engine) not like my fragile x/flow. I won't be trying to keep up 'with the big boys' in a hurry. To expensive on rebuilds. Richard
