I also use high wattage in my tin top (off road) etc. But when I came to replace one the other day foud my local Halfords no longer stock. Anyone with options on suppliers. I think the last set were a double blister pack from Halfords rated 80/100 Only one good light now - looking for a replacement Richard

Brian I also have a 1989 De Dion car. What is the difference between the FIA bars. I don't want to make the same mistake when looking for second hand. Q. What price new from Caterham? Sorry could not be bothered to look up their site Richard

I fitted my car with a JPE style screen on the same 'line' as the existing full screen. this is about 1-2 cm back from the wiper spindles. Not quite the best position but I wanted the full screen to cover the holes. This seems to work fine. I am only 5' 7" and the car has bench seats and flares but the buffeting only happens above eye brow height. Agree with what has been said before. From the pics it looks as if they are too far back on the scuttle. Richard

When a got my caterham last year it had not been used for about 3 years. The engine was fine once I had it going. Mine is a Vulcan Maxi-flow origionally built to 145 bhp. Built and fitted about 1989. My sump finally gave up after I grounded the car (yet again) Looking for a replacement but not in a hurry, as the car is about to go away for the winter No TAX after Sept. I am in Brentwood Essex but willing to travel within the South East of England. Any help or advice about a possible repair ? The car is fitted with a 1700 Vulcan engine. Judging by the ground clearance (about 2.5 ins) I don't think it was a 'shallow' sump but if there is one out there with pick up pipes etc. .... Thanks Richard PS. I only pick up / access on weekdays at work

I have just bought a seven. It's a 1700cc X flow but the car has no battery. 'Yes I know I haven't heard the engine run but the car alone was worth the money and I trust the person who sold it to me'. What battery do you all recommend. Is the Banner the only way to go or can I purchase one from the local car spares chain.
