  1. Don’t forget that drivers using these headsets is illegal now in France with fines being applied. Same as with music earphones too
  2. Just undo the tonneau poopper immediately in front of the stone protector and tuck the tonneau in. The door strap can then be fixed to the popper on the inner sill
  3. Hi Stu, yes Trish's SLR has the reduced tab. I was after the completely flat version for the R1 rebuild and that's why I had a chat with Bruce. Maybe removing the tab was a standard feature of one of the kit builders so there will be a few with the same look out there. The ones I've noticed have looked a very profesional job, certainly OEM standard, hence my question to Bruce.... I think he waa quite amused at the request
  4. I asked Bruce about the different versions of the S3 scuttles : Earlier ones with the definite dog ear Later ones with reduced tab that's much neater but definitely still has an overhang over the sideskin Late ones with no tab or overhang at all Bruce commented that there were only two versions that he made and the third version with no tab was down to the owners themselves having trimmed it flat....
  5. Hi Neil, Thanks for the offer but I don't think my physique would suit a rock and roll bed for two week holidays! :) We'd love to have a day van alongside our camper for quick breaks away and trackdays but really after an A Class for the moment Thanks though for the thought Cheers Nick
  6. Knowing we have a wide and varied membership and some might be motorhomers (or heaven forbid, Caravanners...), is anyone looking to sell their motorhome now or in the near future now the season is over? We are looking for an A Class that is likely to be Hymer / Burstner / Dethleffs / Rapido or Neismann & Bischoff but may consider others. 4 berth with a drop down front bed but will consider a transverse rear bed so that we get the big garage. Definitely after an L shaped lounge with a good sized side sofa and captains chairs so we have 6-7 around the table for food. Otherwise the real nice to have's are wind out awning, solar panels, towbar, reversing camera, cycle carrier and Gaslow refillable LBG bottles. Will consider low coachbuilt vans too if they are suitable on the lounge size and configuration and appreciate they won't have the drop don bed but good garage and transverse bed. If anyone is thinking of selling or perhaps knows of one looking to be sold, please get in touch.
  7. Thanks Del. Not sure yet on C'buro but sure I can get them collected if I don't make it
  8. Hi Del. Can I have the half doors if in decent condition? Are these CC ones with the elbow bulge?
  9. Lowered floors drop you down around 2" but this is at point nearest the rear bulkhead. Trish is slightly taller than you and finds driving our supersport with its lowered floors and tillets difficult to see over the bonnet! She's perfectly fine in her own car with standard floors
  10. Take the old one into a local motor factors. I bought a couple for a fiver over the shelf
  11. Black box can't know who is driving. We were under clear instruction when using Seb's corsa about driving smoothly and not to exceed any speed limits whatsoever. In fact his mum had to be reminded several times.... We got a very good deal with Insure The Box who had a unit plugged into the 12v power socket and only needed it fitting for first 3 months. The better the driver, the more of a rebate we got back so no excess charges levied at all or curfew which was very useful
  12. Steve, do one side at a time as you describe but leave all the bolts very loose on the chassis until both big bolts have started in their threads. Very easy to do and doesn't take very long to get sorted.
  13. Hi Simon, are they genuine Caterham ones? If the black set are without cracks or crazing, I'll have them from you at the 60th. Thanks Nick
  14. They do fit in the boot but may need the mirrors swivelling vertical to help them slot together
  15. Before it goes to the tip, would anyone want this electric oven. Might be very suitable for garage use and those DIY powdercoating kits you see at the various car shows. Or to use for heating pizza's in your man-cave! Its a combined oven and grill, works perfectly and was only removed this week in readiness for the new kitchen install we have going on. I'll give it a week here before it goes to the big oven in the sky.... Oh, collection only :)
  16. Hi Tom. Sure these are meant to have oodles of different combinations for the wheel key so buying a spare from another set is unlikely to be suitable. Using circlip pliers might do the trick. I've stopped using the original bolt a long time ago and have a simple Allen header bolt and washer in place
  17. Hi Gary, no problem at all. I hadn't noticed Simon's interest before mine. Cheers Nick
  18. Hi Gary. I'll have the Tillet seat box sections if they are for standard S3 fitting. Don't suppose you are heading to Curborough next weekend?
  19. Green 15 reg car heading towards the hold ups into Manchester this morning.
  20. Hi, does anyone have a bare carbon rear wing available? I'm after the diagonal matt weave version from a car around the early 2000's mark which is likely to be a superlight or superlight R. TIA Nick
  21. Can I have the tank and gear knob?
  22. Steamed mine and used a wire brush gently to lift the pile. Looked great but only for a short time so will investigate using cleaning products suggested earlier on thread
  23. Hi Andy. are you still looking for some chocks? I've got a set that are as new from memory if you want to make me an offer. I've no idea what they are worth cheers Nick
