  1. CC may have opted for cap heads on the 620 possibly due to the increase in propshaft diameter restricting access to hex heads... I haven't seen one up close but just sumising...
  2. carefully you don't snap the grease nipples if you have them though by locking thro the UJ's
  3. I assume you have the car in gear, ask SWMBO to climb aboard and hold her foot on the brake whilst you crack the prop bolts, ring spanner and a swift clout with a mallet with move them, rotate the prop 90 degrees each time Get yourself a pair of adjustable pliers to hold the main plastic handbrake cable adjuster.... then another pair of pliers or grips the plastic lock nut, once free it will be finger tight.
  4. Where did you source the donor Sierra final drive from and who built it...? So why swap the LSD the too.. You didn't mention what noises you were getting..
  5. What noises Mark.... I'm guessing final drive noises not LSD noises...?
  6. Be care with the £30 ish digital scales as you can crack the plastic top plate as cambered rears concentrate the load in local areas. I have thick ply bonded to the top after I cracked one whilst checking 2 up and full tank weights... Obviously James and his 3x23kg bags won't have worry.... Can't remember when I was that light... Clearly I need to reduce my personal ballast... Though I do get great traction
  7. I use plastic bags cut on the side joints the older style crinkle ones work best
  8. Why are you taking the Tracsport final drive out....?
  9. I always go to Steve for my parts
  10. The sintered brass one gives a lovely precise shift, sit it on the shaft spin it over 180 degree and gently squeeze the tabs a little with long nose pliers, add a dab of grease and pop the lever in place.

  12. Forgot to mention the fronts taller profile affords a little more ground clearance which your sump will thank you for...
  13. Fronts are 55 series too possibly a typo. Since Avon may have supply issues have you considered R888R in 185/60/13 and 205/60/13 this gives more static rake so you will need to make adjustments. Toyo also offer R888r's in a wider rear in lower profile to pretty much mirror the rolling circumference of the front. 225/45/13
  14. I've not exprienced any issue with OAT using SFS or ASH silicone hoses. However I have seen evidence over the years of glycol causing partial restriction in multiple places within cooling systems. I find it interesting that Radtec are suggesting (unless I've misread this) that warranty repairs are dependant upon using glycol... Would they be happy to cover engine warranty to...? If you are considering a change please remember you will need to repeatedly flush the system as most modern engines do not offer an effective drain plug... And glycol and OAT are not compatible.
  15. Abs versions from YC are very reasonably priced new.
  16. G48 is a silicate coolant not ideal for long periods of inactivity.. OAT coolant is pretty inexpensive so what's the issue using the coolant the engine manufacturer reccomends...?
  17. Steve @ YC Plastics in South Wales makes some lovely ABS versions in gloss black or carbon effect
  18. Original GX7000 4 lane set, which makes into longer 2 lane racing, this is the longer version not the shorter later GX7000 set All items are present, all 4 cars work, though do need new rear tyres, Also: AFX flextrack set to enable layouts with banking humps switchback etc AFX Gantry type lap counter All boxed £120 for all the above, collection from HR6 preferred as the box the the first item is big !! Relive your youth
  19. Nice one.. I have the same model... Fantastic trailer..
  20. Mines a bulkhead mounted bottle from a Fabia you can get a range of various rated pressure caps from here... https://presco-radiator-caps.com/
  21. My. NOCO Genius charger came with a dedicated fused fly lead for permanent fitting which I tuck under the dash in order to plug in on a timer in the garage. I didn't want a dash mounted socket of any kind purely from a cosmetic point.
  22. Remove the heater all together looses a lot of dead mass.... 🤣
