  1. We had dry weather here yesterday too so I had my first blat since October and the first on the new engine after mapping.... Very very impressive the torque is wonderful and much more linear than previous and bloody fast.. 😁 Light load mapping is superb I only ran on the open loop map to try in order to highlight and coughs etc... Which I will. Correct with adaptive... The noise on WOT is enough to wake most of Herefordshire... 😅... I no longer need a horn...
  2. Glad to here she is back to life.. 😃 Only reason I asked about the CID if not your injectors would be paired and the injector timing then makes little difference... I don't run one and mine are paired. I emailed. My old and current data over for reference providing your initial lambda map is reasonable your will be OK and update after a brief run after checking your adaptive data.
  3. Though not famoar with the MBE I assume. There is a reference target the fuelling works from... So as long as these are in the ball park it should learn in a form of adaptive tuning....? Do you run a CID sensor...?
  4. Caterham over quoting on the power output.... that's almost like saying their cars are heavier than published weights.... Go stand in the corner and say 200 hail. Mary's........ 🤣🤣
  5. Over the tyres rather then thro. The wheel. To reduce the chance of rim. Damage. Strops and ratchets from the cage or roll bar there's not a lot of weight on them.. You can always add ballast to the boot and passenger side. Single rollers to can strop around the A frame to Dedion but this will pull off the drive roller. On a twin set up.
  6. I run a sender in the finger filter plate in order to see peak temps... I also run a 92 degree oil stay so no protracted warm up issues either.
  7. My reference was to the 1/2 extra rim width above the recommended rim width from Toyo which was a point made by the OP. Although the extra tyre section 185mm to 205mm will reduce the ability to balance the car on the throttle on lower powered cars it's not going to induce instant understeer. The extra rake gained by fitting of 205/60 can be beneficial to the front end though you do get a reduction in castor... But since you didn't specify where you gained understeer I cannot be more specific.
  8. If your car is under steering I would take a look at the entire set up....there areanyany reasons for this... An extra 1/2 of rim width will not make a snap change in the handling.
  9. Spherical joints can readily be ordered in various qualities - economy to aero from Mcgill's
  10. 205/60/13 R888R here on 8" rears no problem at all.
  11. Air con in its OEM fitment as tintops run dual serpentine belts to service all the ancillary loads
  12. Old. First motion shaft is the best... The plastic ones are pretty naff a piece of dowel or rod with tank tape applied to suit the size of both spigot bearing and the clutch plate is better..
  13. Caterham are not subject to NVH development in the same way tintops are... Costs...! We have engines and transmissions mounted on rudementarry metalaltic mounts many of which date back to.the early 1960's... Different frequency of resonance can manifest themselves in vibration or noise booming etc as you have found alterimg the engine speed changes this frequency equally just placing your hand on the headlight has the same effect.. Bonnets, rear arches, headlights, steering wheels can all.show these symptoms but unless you have had recent engine work clutch replacement etc or encountend and engine or transmission problem it's unlikely to be e major problem. If the headlight become annoying you cod slightly alter the engine idle speed or add a small piece of noise deadening material inside the headlight bowl.
  14. Hi James My only note of caution there is the map you will be on for running in although you are partially correcting yours from a Raceline map. You need to be able to use WOT to the Redline ASAP in order fully bed the rings... I realise opinions from different builders vary so please feel free to ignore this, but mine and all our clients race engines were always run on on the rollers in a controlled environment without risking over lean maps (or over rich) dips etc you can also monitor power levels pressures and temps too. I seen far too many engines ruined by being too gentle for prolonged periods I used Millers mineral CRO oil on Wednesday which will be changed before going out in her, Though your mineral oil will be Since the weather is likely to scupper your plans you may want to turn some spacers or make some adjustable tube runners, your harmonic calcs are spot on however proving these gains will also highlight any losses and comparison of torque graphs and profiles is quite enlightening. Emerald make adjustable tube runners be we made some up with plastic tubes for a friends on 48's a couple of years back very easy to change on the rollers. If it doesn't stop raining here soon I will be converting my car to a hovercraft...
  15. That's the norm using brake rollers and a pressure transducer on the pedal.
