  1. Mines a bulkhead mounted bottle from a Fabia you can get a range of various rated pressure caps from here... https://presco-radiator-caps.com/
  2. My. NOCO Genius charger came with a dedicated fused fly lead for permanent fitting which I tuck under the dash in order to plug in on a timer in the garage. I didn't want a dash mounted socket of any kind purely from a cosmetic point.
  3. Remove the heater all together looses a lot of dead mass.... 🤣
  4. Did you see my link above to a new MOD27 290mm...?
  5. I bought a 270mm mod 27 from this seller, arrived in 3 days, he has a 290mm below, you could always ask if he can do a MOD26 for you Momo MOD 27 290mm
  6. the first 2 photos are defineately a type 9 box
  7. Type 9 Ford box, what year is your car..?, Theres no drain plug with the OEM cast casing, you can drain via an oil syringe and tube ,best done when the oil is warm, these boxes run very well on Redline MTL. Lots of great uprgrades for this box, ratios clusters, alloy casings etc, its a good durable box with proven compition history
  8. Understand your bell tank points thankfully I don't run one.. Although the pump may be working harder in a sealed set up it is more efficient since it's primary function is to pump oil this is hindered by excess volume of air which is present in open systems. Even in a sealed system it does still vent to atmosphere after the catch tank, the intention is only to reduce the free flow of air into the crankcase. Worth noting that all DS tanks are not the same this also applies to catch tanks both should be correctly designed, located and plumbed.
  9. The lower the crank case pressure the easier for oil to return to the trough. Reduced wind age. Reducing the air volume increases the pumps efficiency as less of the pumps working volume is occupied by compressed air.
  10. so assuming the rings were bedded in correctly, all to often people pootle aorund with new engines. Is your DS plumbed open or closed...?, if open this gives the scavenge more work as it has to evacuate excess air in the crankcase this carries oil mist which is then dumped in the catch tank. running closed pulls a partial vacuum and greatly reduces this, the windage is also reduced so there is less volume of air being forced thro the catch tank, hence less oil dumped, the primary reason for running closed is to reduce aeration in the spent oil
  11. on the rebuild was it bored with new pistons and rings.... if so how was it bedded in ...
  12. Yep all inside the bowl the only thing on the outside is the wires
  13. Are you talking oil being burnt in the chambers or discharged into a catch tank. Is your car wet or dry sump What symptoms are you expiriencing...?
  14. I would say Viton, ISTR there are brown and green, cant remeber if theres a different in material compatibility though, or maybe temperature range
  15. Good point James, be interested to see which you opt for, I've not tried any but the Simpson hybrid seems popular with Caterham drivers,
  16. or these, the images show an indicator option though its now mentioned in the text - worth clarifying with them https://www.lrchallenge4x4.co.uk/product/5-75-led-headlight-black-drl-white-halo-indicator-hotrod-kit-car-speed-triple-motorcycle/
  17. I use these: LED lights I find the HALO DRL more visibale than the letter box versions CC use, with the advantage you can loose the OE indicators as these are built into the HALO making them much more visible since they are also higher, even went using the lowered headlight brackets win win There was seller on ebay selling the same lights in black bowls but I can seem to find tham at the moment, my bowls were from SVC.
  18. unless you've measured your springs James at 41Nm (234 LB/in) ? I'm not sure If I would be comfortable with 190lb springs for your useage...
  19. yep JV last one is the obvious in the same way sidelights are wired ... Be careful you dont overheat the units though the heat sinks will only be designed for either or not both, you might want to measure the temp on the unit for prolnged periods on dip only main only and then both, dont want thme going pop on you mid journey.....
