  1. BGH now do their own aluminium alloy casing.
  2. I agree with David and others that we need to remain aligned with other championships in our choice of tyres. If it wasn't for the so obviously flawed concept of using records to decide the overall championship, (when we have no control over course changes, tyre regs, weather etc.), then use of whatever tyres prescribed by the MSA wouldn't be much of an assue.
  3. Hi Chris, thanks for your efforts over the season. I notice that my class score along with others, is different to the overall table. Is that correct?

    Anglesey

The normally very well organised Longton Club bit off more than they could chew this weekend. The ambitious double lap formats coupled with an over ambitious entry led to one practice and two timed runs on Saturday, and two practice and only one timed run on Sunday. i think it's fair to say that it was unsatisfactory to all Lotus 7 competitors. Whilst we must be careful not to be over critical of the individuals who give up their time to organise events, we need to collect our thoughts and make our view known on what format we would like next year, if we return.
  5. Couldn't you just shorten the track rods and recut the threads?

    Sprint success

After years of improving brakes, messing with gear ratios, practice, weight saving etc. I reached a similar plateau of disappointment. Last year I upgraded to wide track along with Quantum dampers and revised spring rates. This year I have PB'd at every event and feel I am on another upward learning curve, with further improvements to come.

    Grandad Again

    Congratulations, see you tomorrow.
  8. They are a bit noisy, this could be perfectly normal. Suggest you compare with other cars before taking any action.
  9. Mike, I'm also assuming we can arrive on Saturday, I'm intending stay overnight in the camper.
  10. Camping is in the competitors parking area, you can get quite near to the paddock. Free, no booking required.

    Angelsea

Trailers and cars can be left overnight in the paddock. camping etc is free in the paddock. Others will advise on accommodation.
  12. Duplicate post deleted
  13. As I understand it Steve, you won't be compelled to use a Hans type device if you are in a road going class.
  14. Can't answer the question, but there are plenty of Morris Marina workshop manuals available on eBay.
  15. The class 4 trophy was correctly awarded to Phil Cook, I entered class 2B. i collected it after the presentation and will make sure it gets to Phil. It was a great day, Aintree is so much better with a touch of sun. Hope the one damaged car isn't too serious.
  16. I have entered Class 2B (other championships require you in the class you have entered in their championship). the organisers have corrected this and I will be no.53.
  17. I certainly agree with Stuart on the choice of quality venues. the problem we have given ourselves with the use of records, is (at risk of stating the obvious), we have no control over the stability of non Curborough events.
  18. Great news. The corkscrew is the best bit of the track!
  19. Simon, I've spent almost 50 years operating thermal power stations. It's disappointing to learn that boiled water cannot carry heat. I may take tomorrow off to figure out how these things work.
  20. I like Epynt. Great hill, location, organisers, classic Welsh rally stage, facilities no problem with a camper. The fact that there are two days available makes the trip worthwhile. problem for me is work. I work every other weekend and have to negotiate for holidays, this year it clashes with a colleague doing the great north swim! I just can't get the time off.
  21. With regard to regulations; the scrutineers at 3 Sisters last week said they had been asked by the MSA to enforce tax, mot and insurance requirements. They had a DVLA print out. They challenged my tax status, I was able to produce the email on my phone. good luck everybody.
  22. Nuclear fuel flask lids (UK AGR) are bolted and tightened to a torque figure.
