  1. Mav I have emailed my user ID this afternoon, may need to check your SPAM box again! Cheers, Nigel.
  2. Congratulations. Romantic honeymoon at Shelsley Walsh? See you in the paddock on Thursday, also have info for you from campsite about different access due to road closure at Governor's Bridge. Cheers, Nigel.
  3. Hi Mav, nothing received, could you resend. Thanks, Nigel
  4. If you want to keep your 7" lamps, Paddock Motors (Landrover specialist in Matlock) do a Wipac halogen conversion for a modest £24:50 + vat.
  5. Rob, Sorry, I did email you on Tuesday, I'm in, cheque is in today's post. Cheers, Nigel.
  6. Never drill them if they are spelt with a K. 😬
  7. I have two minators 6 x13 in very good condition, fitted with Falken tyres that have done a couple of sprints and a few road miles. They are in my way having converted to Ford pattern front hubs. You can have them for a small donation to NTL You will have to make arrangements to collect/courier/gonads etc. Cheers, Nigel.
  8. Hi Rob, Full kit for me please. Thanks. Nigel.
  9. Hi Rob, Yes you are right, Liverpool daily service starts again 1st March. You could always come back via Heysham, there a sailing at 8:45 Sunday morning, Cheers Nigel.
  10. Grahame, The only ferries at this time of year go from Heysham, Lancashire. Sailings are twice daily at 02:15 and 14:15. The 14:15 sailing won't get you there early enough on Thursday for the first event.
  11. Entries posted today. I've just been up to the harbour, Steam Packet Co quoted me £186 car and two people, £210 any vehicle plus trailer and two people. That's out Wednesday back Sunday. The ferries won't be full so they aren't worried about vehicle length. If costs can be brought that close when we sort accomodation arrangements, I think I would prefer to take my trailer.
  12. Hi Mark, yes I'm up for this.
  13. I don't think you can use a watts linkage and an A frame at the same time. Reason is the car rolls about the pivot point on a watts linkage or the bush on an A frame. If you fit both you have two roll centres at different points, something will soon break. A watts linkage is usually used in conjunction with conjunction with a 4 trailing arm set up.
  14. Wheel stud normally has a knurled/spline whuich provides an interference fit into the flange. Chances are that this has become flattened by the attentions of a windy gun. You would expect that the hole in the flange will be OK, and that a replacement stud will do the trick.
  15. Adam, Lambda bosses are on page 129 of the GPR catalogue that you get with your comp licence. Details of thread not given. Also at www.gpdirect.com
  16. I am about to order an additional pair or rear wheels. I currently use 7 inch rims with the 215 Khumos. 215mm equates to 8.5 inches. Has anybody any thoughts on the optium rim width? Cost difference is insignificant and I have plenty of room under the wings. Merry Christmas to everybody.
  17. I also bought a tranX, supplied and fitted very efficiently by RSM motorsport in Morecambe. 01524 844066.
  18. Simon, Tyres have arrived safely, thanks to all involved.
  19. Hi Simon 2 x 175 soft 2 x 215 soft 2 x 175 medium 2 x 215 medium Thanks, Nigel.
  20. The live supply should come through the flasher the be selected right or left by the switch. The speed of flashing is governed by the current drawn by the lamps which is used to heat a bimettalic strip in the flasher unit. The fault suggests that the left and right circuits are in contact with each other somewhere. This is likely to be either; in the indicator selection switch the terminals on that switch or in a circuit associated with hazard warning lights. I rather suspect it could be the hazard light switch, pull the wires off that and then try the indicators again. Hope that helps.
  21. It seems likely that a BEC with a similar power to weight ratio, but with a weight advantage of 100kgs or more, will have huge braking and cornering advantages over cars to existing Class 4 regs. Let them play with the big boys in Class 5.
