  1. Also had issues recently with the weights hitting the brake calipers, the garage took them straight off after hand spinning the wheels to test just for this issue and replaced with similar weights but wider and very thin ones specifically designed for limited clearance, problem solved.
  2. Nothing wrong with the car it's something wrong with the MOT centre not being friendly enough Someone should be along with some help shortly ...........
  3. Yes the diagonal brace where the exhaust exits goes the other way round on the metric chassis. I believe this causes problems if you use original k series primaries. I had to have a new set of primaries made up by Powerspeed on my K Series (metric chassis car).
  4. Type 'Low entry aluminium trolley jack' into Fleabay and various will be listed at around £100 here is an example.
  5. Thanks John. Mine has the same issue, lots of us burnt fuel igniting in the exhaust on the over run. I don't mind this popping and banging but as you say it b*ggers the Cat. Mine has a locked Cosworth Map so was hoping that I didn't have to have it re-mapped. I suppose the best thing is to try it and see. This will be the second Raceco exhaust I used and yes they are somewhat quieter than the CC quite ones, as well as being very pleasing to the eye!
  6. Thinking of replacing the CAT and standard exhaust to a decat pipe and Raceco on a 260bhp Duratec. Will this have any real effect other than lowering the db. Just want to understand whether the ECU will need a re-map as the bore and length off both exhausts are the same so it's just down to the removal of the slightly flow restricting Cat. Other people's experiences would be useful.
  7. Sprayway Gortex single layer jacket and or a lined wind proof golf jumper are my normal weapons of choice. These cover most /Spring/Autumn/ blats.
  8. A black set with rubber for me please, payment up front not a problem. Cheers Martyn

In very good condition. £200 collection or plus UK shipping at cost. Pair of Black Pack Headlights with brackets. One headlight has some corrosion on the reflector but otherwise both in very good condition. £65 plus shipping at cost.
  12. Mohair more 'classy' but collects the dust, saying that most sport s cars use mohair.
  13. Are you sure that's stuck on correct side of the lens as I thought (facing the front of the headlight) the LH side throws the light onto the opposite carriageway.
  14. SV imperial standard roll bar, very good condition, recently powder coated. Collection only from SY4 postcode. £80.

    Diff

To add to the above, I had one of the early BMW doffs with an LSD. It was a carbon plate diff (I think TItan) and the wheel turning test does not work with this type. There was LSD letter stamped on the underside of the diff.
  17. I used a piece of softwood (pine) with around. 60 degree chisel edge on the end a with copious amounts of WD40 'chiselled' the the rubber away as well as the adhesive. This is the same method I use to remove the bonnet foam and adhesive when I need to replace it.
  18. The leather seat version. Many thanks in anticipation!
  19. Hi Chris i wouldn't mind the spare guest passes please! Martyn
