  1. I've seen self tappers put in a hole in the middle to pull on.
  2. Yes it is, on the front of this months magazine.
  3. Also, with the positioning of the number plate by CC it virtually blocks any air to the oil cooler. Without a gauge it's difficult to know what temperature the oil is. There may be because of this a large difference between to two fluids.
  4. It appears to be ok as it does rise to around 80C and the fan kicks in when stationary
  5. Can I resurrect this thread as I'm having the same issue as the original poster. My car when driven, even in the summer constantly sits at 40C and only rises when stationary for example at traffic lights. Can this be right as I'm sure the car is over fueling at this temperature. Did anyone get any satisfactory solution from Caterham? Below is my attempt of a schematic of the system in my car.
  6. Two pairs of unused ER-20 Ear Plugs which have sat in a drawer since buying them. Comes with original carry pouch and black neck cord. £10 a pair or £17.50 for two pairs including postage to UK ETY•Plugs HD use a tuned resonator and acoustic resistor to replicate the natural response of the ear canal. This unique construction, combined with Etymotic’s proprietary sound path, reduces sound levels evenly across the frequency range without changing the sound quality. Result: The sounds of tools, machinery, vehicles and speech are clear, but softer and safer. Reduces sound levels evenly so that speech and environmental sounds are clear and natural, not muffled as with foam earplugs Reduces sound approximately 20 dB across the range of hearing Provides enough sound reduction in most settings to protect hearing, but keeps users aware of their surroundings Reduces the potential for hearing damage outside of work from loud machinery, vehicles, power tools, sporting events and recreational activities Provides better hearing in noisy environments because ears don't overload Reduces fatigue from long-term exposure to noise Not recommended for use with impulse noise, e.g., shooting sports
  7. You can quieten it somewhat by wrapping it in Gaffer tape or similar.
  8. Couldn't you borrow one off a kind generous member just for the MOT each year?
  9. When touring i have an extra battery red cut off switch taped to the chassis within the engine bay ---- Just in Case!
  10. I just went through this process recently trying to keep to the £250 limit and get the lowest number of digits to make a shortened legal plate. Did it but it was a struggle to find one, Have a look at SEV or SVN.
  11. Ford Type 9 Gearbox Speedo shaft seal, retainer cap + removal plug (new) £10 posted (UK)
  12. I've always wondered how the manufacturer's indicated car weight is arrived at. What criteria do they apply? Does the car have liquids in it? If so how much fuel? Or do they weigh it dry?
  13. I know the 'tinternet' will find you most information I have always found this small reference guide for all things Drills, Reaming, Threads etc., immensely useful over the years. I'm still quite analogue finding paper based information easier to read and also of the generation that was brought up using both Imperial and Metric units of measurement. I often find myself using both metric and imperial measurements on the same job when setting out!
  14. Here was one on my old CSR James, unfortunately I sold it after the car went.
  15. As the Raceco exhaust is so light (around 5.6Kg) it only uses the rear support bracket.
  16. On my 3rd Raceco exhaust (3 different cars) and have never been burnt by the actual can, the headers and tail pipe are a different matter!
  17. Paul - Your mail box is full so you cannot receive any more PM's
  18. I ran the PRRT system on a R500k and another 200bhp K never any issues, temperature was steady in all conditions. I have some images of the installation if you need to see them
  19. Having being brought up using files using draw filing techniques to deburr cut metal I found the following Vargus Shaviv tools at an engineering trade fair in Taiwan some years ago. I was staggered to find they were distributed by a company in Telford a few miles up the road from me. So easy to use and very versatile.
  20. Slightly off topic but associated - A slight modification to the top of my 620 battery box was to stick a piece of 3mm rubber to the top so the passenger's feet do not slip or damage the surface.
