  3. Hi, Very basic question. I want a trolley jack that is long reach and low profile. It needs to lift to at least 45cm to get the Supersport up on its axle stands. The main problem is that most jacks are about 14cm high so when I lower the front of the car it lands on the jack. I need one with about 40 cm of low profile reach. I don't want to pay a fortune. What kind does everybody else use? Douglas
  4. I am a bit late starting this blog as I have been building for a couple of months. Most problems seem soluble with thought and e mails to Derek at Caterham. I wonder if anyone has any Ideas about the rear ARB. I thought this would be straightforward. The drop link needs an extension piece which I am sure would work well but Derek tells me they don't use these now and that I should just bolt it on. How??? I am sure I need an extension piece. I would welcome some advice.
  5. It should be easy to attach the drop link to the bracket but Derek at Caterham says they don't use extension pieces any more. He says just bolt it to the bracket. This seems impossible. I have taken the drop link apart and there is no way it can accept a bolt without a screw on extension piece. Any ideas? Douglas
  6. Hi, I am enjoying the first stages of the build. I am unable to tighten the upper spring damper bolts (M8 caphead) to the exact 20 nm value required because I can't get the standard Halfords torque wrench near. I have tightened the bolts to what feels like the right torque using an alan key comparing with the easily accessible lower bolts. Any suggestions? Kind regards, Douglas
