  1. Good to here you are out and about alan, we all want pics. Please
  2. I Use the piper cross kit, comes with a detergent to clean and an oil to lightly coat.
  3. Use millers 10/60 in mine have used 10/40 in past, going to put millers 10/50 nano in next time I think. 200 bhp, hydraulic, dry sump, have approx 5 litres in.
  4. Mine is clipped to the block as it comes from the tank, then runs back out on the lower crucifix to loop into the front of the sump with a 90 degree elbow, ps the blue elbows are 1/2" bsp I have a plug if you want, but they are readily available. If you need sooner.
  5. Sorry Giles and Guy will have to pass on this one, too much going on with my mini R1 project. Shame. Good luck with the numbers.
  6. Hi Andy Well done for taking on the job. I usually do the Cadwell trackday, prefer Monday's as it gives me a non work day to get organised and loaded, but any day is good. Donington would be good as it is close for me but I cannot get through their noise test, but if you booked it I would have to get the car sorted to get it through, as I would like to do it. Regards kevin.
  7. Found that sketch to show how I did the airbox/filter hole
  8. Last time it broke I added metal to strengthen the area
  9. The roll bar was touching just where you can see the red bush, on the lower part of the 45 degree angled cover plate
  10. Have broken a few in my 23 years ownership of my vx, there isn't a lot of metal to weld to the bar so it does make it a weak spot, check that the drop link are as short as possible as I found that the bar did touch the chassis on upward movement, on the sus turret, this was causing premature breakage, have some pics somewhere, will have a look see if I can find.
  11. Will have a look before I come out this eve alan, will see if I can take picture with same view.
  12. Was going to post exactly that this morning Roger Hmmmmmmmm
  13. Helping Taz along with his vx fitment, does anyone have a pic of how they have fitted the alt on left. The engine mount Brkt has a tube fitted but we also have a GM aluminium cast bracket, steering columb passes through the area very close to the top of the engine mount.
  14. anyone know where I can buy some aluminium honeycomb panel sheet, need a slightly larger piece than the boot floor panel, I know perhaps Bruce may be able to supply, but anyone know anywhere else, didn't really want to buy a full sheet.
  15. Hi Alan we are at curborough Tuesday if you want to look at a couple 😬
  16. Place still available for this test/fun day
  17. Still a few at the moment. I will post if it gets full.

  19. Mark, you just need a helmet, covered arms & legs, I am guessing your seven has a roll over bar. We walk the track and then have individual runs of two laps, one at a time. You are free to run laps whenever you want throughout the day, except for an hour at lunch. We can run 10am through to 5pm. Relaxed way to use your car safely beyond the limits you can use on the road.
