  1. brookie suggest warming hood in house first, unzip rear window, slacken hood sticks, attach poppers on screen first, then work to the back. can then re-zip window finally tension hood sticks and do up velcro despite this it is not easy & suspect a few bleeding fingernails if you have a stone chip/crack the tensioning may well extend it by the time it's on you be both soaking and sweating 😬 if you're near brookwood happy to give you a hand jerry

    O/T Merc

arnie something you envy, wish to own... 😬 quite appropriate really peter jerry
  3. beagle i'm at 4 front, 5 rear but very dry track orientated on a bumpy road you need to be awake 😳 maybe i should just reduce to drive home jerry
  4. been very happy with Pagid RS4/14 jerry
  5. yes please 27 m2, can we get the edging strip with chamfer too please thanks very much jerry
  6. toys have you got the 64' time? do you have smg/launch control. i think a young lady was driving one of the M3s brighton doesn't have anything like the traction of santa pod- spent some time doing the wedge work for sprints there- you might as well be in diving boots jerry
  7. david brakes totally disappeared @ 43 mins 😬 my 64' time was 2.31, any idea on the M3's? were they using launch control and smg (sure one of them had it)?? anyway, kiwi you've got plenty in hand to embarrass your colleagues jerry
  8. no vandalism problems (touching wood) but did catch a japanese lad about to sit on the bonnet for a photo at dover docks he was much happier to sit in it 😬 jerry
  9. ACB10 not a happy wet track day choice, i seem to recall peter c posting to say "uncatchable spins" and i'd 2nd that have used 032's in the wet quite happily, the 048 is supposed to be better, but no personal experience yet but really, you know you want another set of wheels 😬 jerry
  10. ray sorry to hear you've sold the slr hope your wrist is ok going to do something with a gsxr engine sounds like the spa trip's even more serious jerry
  11. jimmy does that go straight onto the caterham 4-2-1 cat. bypass mid-section? if so would be interested to look it over if possible jerry
  12. simon been very happy with the motec on my slr- improved driveability, cured overrun popping they also have lots of caterham experience jerry
  13. tim sorry, still not got it, can you try the aol address thanks jerry
  14. where abouts in the arc is it misreading? 😬 i thought they all did that jerry
  15. tim e-mailed you a while back and haven't got the form, suspect it's not delivering as i said david ward and i will be shopping at autosport show if ntl not working you can try me on jerrympike@aol.com thanks jerry
  16. elie interesting choices IIRC 2.5l triple engine has shaft drive for cruising, in terms of power/wt ratio then i suspect the already tried blade/bird/busa options will be way ahead sadly my experience (and my brothers) of triumph bike motors has not been good, unlike my blackbird which continues to provide effortless speed how would you mount the LC8? i suspect it'll be pretty tall having sat on the bike do you have good KTM parts/expertise as i've had difficulty getting a manual for my dukeII jerry

    ECU

almost certainly i changed the ecu on my slr as a sole mod. and the most noticeable difference was the improvement in throttle response/drivability with loss of popping on the over run jerry
  18. my brother racks up 1,000's of miles all year round with his bmw heated kit, recommended personally i've only used heated gloves or grips, but not really applicable to 7's jerry
  19. if it's a nut then a nut splitter will do the job if you can access it: i have a very heavy duty one if you need jerry
  20. richard you have it exactly right, sorry no close up digital photos-perhaps it's a good excuse to try the kit i have fitting was actually done by caterham midlands, i think derek developed this originally the jpe screen mounts to 5 riv-nuts in the scuttle which are completley obscured by the screen the jpe is modified by drilling so there is a vertical hole over the mounts, it's really very easy to swap i'll try and do some pictures if it would help, i suspect you'll need to e-mail me so i can send attachment jerry
  21. myles demon tweeks 16l £14.93 see p.305 i find this big enough for the fallout when taking off the dry sump plate, leave draining then use a smaller one for the filter jerry
  22. i have the old jpe aeroscreen interchangeable with top loading bolts to riv-nuts and screen. have enlarged the holes for wires to allow easy swap but i don't have any interior trim to obscure collecting the wires but then i'm short of a joint in my wrist 😬 jerry
  23. Myles i went for the complete waxoyl, by far the best way is to know a friendly garage propriotor, get it up in a bay and use the compressed air gun use warming and thinning to assist, take head/eye protection and try to keep it off the exhaust jerry
  24. beagle i had very good service from nitron for my new slr shocks i requested similar set-up to PC and they are indeed firmer than the standard bilsteins be aware that they are specced to use the through bolt mount on the de-dion tube, rather than the weld on underneath can't help with flat floor though jerry
