  1. sorry, 2 each side, but changed them as a set of 4 jerry
  2. david you should have mail jerry
  3. andy does the back end "clonk" over low speed bumps? what mileage have you done? my slr track rod ends: 2 completely worn, 1 worn out, 1 marginal @ 8,000 miles doesn't aid rear end location my friendly mechanic says annual replacement if doing much track mileage: £177 from caterham , not sure what would substitute best from DT catalogue jerry
  4. marius another vote for the pagid's we'll be at spa may 5/6 this year, see you for dinner? jerry
  5. yes, still on for a set to grace the wings...when they get fitted jerry
  6. ammo rotax or suzuki engined? if the former may be worth contacting ccm as i think they sell off the bikes from their supermoto school- come ready crashed & minus road gear, so a good starting point. ktm would be better mark would agree with the tickover raise for smooth (less sudden?) transition, even if you have to lower gearing for slower corners, although i expect the back end will be slewing around in the air most of the time on the brakes 😬 paul lewis?? last time i spoke to him he was running the southampton harley dealership, so could give an opinion on the buell firebolt (see chitchat) jerry
  7. www.signswithimpact.co.uk design your own, very efficient service from my perspective jerry

    Brake Lights

al quite the reverse, i only found out because bill couldn't believe i wasn't braking for the pits chicane @ bruntingthorpe 😬 i wasn't (just a lift in 4th) but i'm sure he wasn't convinced when the lights turned out not to be working jerry

rob thanks very much, should save endless fuse pulling jerry

    Brake Lights

gary very timely thread, as i'm now in the same boat with my slr, which i assume is very much the same any clues as to which fuse as i have no manuals of any sort!? thanks jerry
  11. chelspeed i'm reasonably happy it's overspecced, not something i'd want to fail followed the drive shaft/gundrilling thread with interest but have subsequently heard of a number of failures of unmodified drive shafts (albeit on 250 bhp cars: so sadly not a problem for me) strangely enough my friendly fixings shop didn't have any in stock: first time i've stumped them jerry
  12. rob thanks again, HTS it is then and out with the copaslip jerry
  13. rob thanks very much, i'll get down to the factors: i assume that stainless will be ok if available, but no particular metal spec?? jerry
  14. chelspeed it is indeed the hole through the centre of the tube i was referring to if it's a straight tube then i'll need a longer bolt and nut, any clue as to official size? thanks jerry
  15. this isn't the radical that was @ bruntingthorpe 1.3.03? jerry
  16. new rear shocks for my slr are apparently designed to fit to the middle mount on the de dion tube (as for vx cars i believe) can anyone tell me what the appropriate fixing is for this mounting point please? thanks jerry
  17. anthony can i still get with this order please thanks jerry
  18. rob apologies, does same apply to dry sumped engines? thanks jerry
  19. IIRC just dropping the sump off a K-series isn't something to do because of the bolt/"club"sandwich construction i'm sure PC will correct me if wrong jerry
  20. chelspeed sat. is trackfun day at bruntingthorpe, my season opener may get to lydden jerry
  21. chelspeed sorry, should re-classify as a searcher- in this instance for the ultimate breaking experience (as opposed to the ultimate wave ride [lori petty, point break]) let us know how the hawks work; are you going to be at bruntingthorpe on sat? jerry
  22. dave i've used chemical metal and drilled small (2mm IIRC)holes for dowels (used bits of coat hanger ) and secured these with more chemical metal. has survived max. speed on Kemmel jerry
  23. would agree with alex, can't see myself going away from the pagid's now chelspeed you've got it bad 😬 (upgraditis that is) jerry
  24. julian as david says, must have carbon light blocks for carbon wings 😬 any idea re-timing now mould is made? jerry
