  1. That link... https://www.electrosport.com/media/pdf/fault-finding-diagram.pdf Doesn't work for me - I get a '403 Forbidden' message...
  2. Hi, I would like the CTEK charger please, happy to pop over to pick it up, I'm in NW Leicestershire. Thanks Ian
  3. Fantastic job! - Well done, and a great piece of work. I totally missed this - and I think others have too, as there are no responses to your post. Can this get posted to the FAQ?
  4. Looking a the 'Smart Charge 100" - SC100 It is clear it is NOT designed to start a car, and would be damaged as SM25T rightlyy points out if you tried to do so. It is a trickle charger. For remote starting, one of the options Roger has mentioned would be fine - but that one looks like it needs a mains connection, so one like this: Remote Start would probably do the trick. Cheers Ian
  5. Yes, I would be most interested too, thanks for this investigation, it is most interesting. Sorry I'm not in the UK to assist, but let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Cheers Ian
  6. 😳 eeek! Sorry I didn't mean to make this more complicated, many apologies. I had not realised that the Haynes manual and the Caterham Manual used different numbering schemes in their wiring diagrams. I had toyed with the idea of adapting an old MFRU, cutting the sockets out and making a small small loom to the new relays, so they could be plugged straight in, in place of the old MFRU. This would be reversible. But your method is certainly more elegant.
  7. Yes, I wandered out to the garage with your excellent article, Revilla, and everything matched except this extra brown wire on 8/8. My car is a 2003 build /2004 registered 1.6K Roadsport EU3. I am away from the car now but looking at the wiring diagram this wire is on the larger plug, which I believe is the MFRU Output Plug. http://imageshack.us/a/img703/7519/nuo7.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img824/5340/gft4.jpg According to this, the wire is electrically common with the ones on P3 and P7. I don't have the article here with me, so I can't tell if this wire if therefore needed or not. Cheers Ian
  8. My '96 car had the 'hanging below the panel' solution... http://imageshack.us/a/img401/3796/camera005.jpg But my newer 2004 car has the lights mounted straight on the panel - http://imageshack.us/a/img860/3977/forumpic1.jpg I replaced these with LED versions - the car had rivnuts so it was a simple job to drill the new units to match. Suggest you mount your using rivnuts as suggested. http://imageshack.us/a/img14/715/img0914ip.jpg
  9. I went with the Hella unit also - very slim body - and used velcro to mount it. http://imageshack.us/a/img15/4305/img0915qe.jpg I just removed the little rubber bungs in the rollbar, and the unit went right over them.
  10. Yes please! YHM. Cheers! Ian
  11. A great day - finally caught up with a 'Lotus' Seven I saw a few months ago in Tai Wai, Hong Kong, and met the owner - a great guy called Angus. It turns out this is a 1987 Caterham Seven, Ford engine, Dellorto carbs, live axle, with K&N alloys, probably just as it left the factory in Caterham. It sounded great, and was in exceptional condition, with only 15k on the clock. http://imageshack.us/a/img254/9919/edit72.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img9/6029/edit71.jpg Edited by - felixgogo on 21 Apr 2013 10:02:36
  12. Jonathan, I'll like two as well please, can you add me to the waiting list? Many thanks Ian
  13. Hi - Yes I would be interested in a pair, please put me in the list as a definite 'yes'. Cheers Ian
  14. Hi - yes, based in Sunny Shatin, and I live just down the road in Tai Wai. Sadly my Seven is back in the UK.... I was not aware of those car meets - any more clues about that?
  15. Spotted a Caterham or Lotus Seven in Tai Wai, Shatin, Hong Kong last night. Ran up the street trying to catch up to have a chat, but you were gone. Great weather for it.
  16. Hi, I replaced my horns with a set of Fiamm horns which are much louder. The original Caterham 2003 Roadsport ones are in the garage. I'm in Whitwick, Leics, happy to donate FOC, if you collect. Drop me a Blatmail. Cheers Ian
  17. hang fire - that's working now!! I must be a little impatient.... 😬
  18. No, that doesn't work for me, followed the instructions to the letter, can't see an image in my signature, nor any in anyone else's.
  19. Hi, I fitted mine on the LHS as it wa easier to see the connector on this side. I managed it from lying on the floor and undoing the connector and inserting the adaptor from there. Then I fed the wire up through the boot where there was a small gap between the boot floor and the side of the boot. I did cut the supplied LED light spade end off to allow this, as i was fitting different spade terminals, so this made this easier. I can see that taking the boot floor out would make it much easier though.
  20. Yes please full set also. Cheers Ian
  21. Q, I like the idea of moving the expansion tank connection, would it be a good idea to relocate the tank itself to nearer the heater, higher up?
  22. Dave, Now that's a great idea! Any pics?
  23. Hi - can anyone please provide any good links to those better SMD type LED lamps - I would also like to change out the indicators and stop / tail lamps into my standard Caterham rear lights. I have already swapped out the fog & reverse for different units completely, and I echo the recommendation of a high level unit - I fitted the 'Hella' one from Car builder solutions.
