Simon.Rogers1
Ok I now need firm orders. They are all inclusive of vat and if we would like to attend a given venue will also be changed at the venue foc. 175 60 13 £65 215 50 13 £75 They are available in 3 compounds Soft/Medium/Hard please state your choice when ordering. Post all orders here not by Blatmail then I can't loose any! We need to get this going to ensure there are enough tyres in the country. Dependant on numbers we may get some more money off but I doubt it. Lets say replies by Friday of next Week.

Stuart Faulds
Is the V70A the tyre of choice for sprinting now? Do the 13" ones use the same cast iron sidewalls as the 15's? Seems an odd choice if they do.
Simon.Rogers1
Stuart - from the softness of the compounds as tested at the show and other tyres elswhere it would seem that these are the softest and maybe softer than ACB10's. The sidewall is another issue which we can only try to dial out in the suspension set up.
Mark Durrant
Two of each for me please in the soft compound Mark D Comp Sec
Jason Plato
of course the softer compound wont last any longer than ACB A24 compound on the road or hill, as seen with the set graining up after just 2 laps round curbuggar on Tony's car, so they will need to be mounted on your spare set of "sprint" rims, preferably 215mm width on the front with 8" rim. 😬 here is C7 TOP Taffia Area Rep
robmar
thats alright my 24's did 1000 road miles as well as the sprints/hillclimbs and brands GP and are still legal - just
Grahame W
Another one for 2 of each size in soft please
Davey Bee
So what is the real overall benefit to us, over the ACB10? R600 VX here
robmar
reduced costs and removing the perceived blocker to new competitors who believe they have to run acb to be competitive, change steup etc etc
Davey Bee
But if they don't last as long where are the cost saving. Even so if most competitors are £500 down how long would it take to recoup these saving. I know I'm still moaning, but this does not make sense. The King's walking around naked. bl0498
Simon, Sorry to be a bit thick here - but presumably the recommended setup is 175 on the front with 215 on the rear? Do you know the differences between soft and medium? Just wondering... Brian
Simon.Rogers1
I used a durometer at the show which gave some odd readings until we understood the construction of the Kumho. However I have been told that the medium compound would be more akin to A048's initially but would soften up well. So probably a good trackday tyre or longer term sprint tyre. Simon.Rogers1
Davey - be quiet and just buy some tyres. 😬 I'd like to see another paddle shift car in class 5. Come on man ❗
Davey Bee
Simon, I hear you! I want to be apart of this but!!!! 😬 I need to use 235 on the rear. Sadly I'm still not sure which class, if any I'll be in. I hate being a rebel. Just got back from the Friday night bar, so this cannot be used against me R600 VX here
Martin S.
Hi Simon, In what part of the country is the "given venue" likely to be Thanks
Paul Gibb
So are these what is required for class 5 in 2007? & are they the same size as my 7/21/13, 8/22/13 ACB10? L7 FUN
Simon.Rogers1
Davey - 235 = Class 6 No you dont need to run these. You think you need to run them. Stop thinking Paul - yes basically the 215's are the biggest tyre you can run. Looking at the tyre at the show it has a remarkably wide flat profile. I would suggest that they are "wider" than their 215 suggests. But that is my opinion only. Location for fitting was to be Llandow on the 24th but the supplier is at his sons first Autograss event of the year. He does get about a bit as he goes to all national and international rallycross events to fit. Once numbers are known I can firm something up. Supply only is an option but there is no reduction in price as his labour is to all intense and purpose free. He runs the thing simply to get him to events foc. Davey Bee
Need to control a torquey engine, and I doubt that 215's are up to it. May just go and play in class 6 with DSL. R600 VX here Edited by - Davey Bee on 20 Jan 2007 11:00:

Simon.Rogers1
Davey I don't think DSL will be around much this year and if he is it will be with the R400 in Class 5.
Davey Bee
Class 6 could be a good place for ACB10 refugees R600 VX here
