  1. Wide Track has a track of 1336mm and the normal is 1270 mm.. Edited by - Paul Bowden on 23 Mar 2007 18:37:22
  2. Not sure that all series have outlawed ACB10's. The sprint series in which I compete have outlawed cross ply tyres, which is another way of saying no ACB10's. But this is not an MSA requirement, as far as I know, so would be down to the individual series. The consensus is that Kumho V70's are the tyre of choice. I used mine at the weekend and was pleasantly surprised, although I had allsorts of problems getting the thing off the line, but that’s down to lack of ability must probably Think Simon maybe able to help if you wanted some Kumho's http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?Id=123278 Regards Paul
  3. I think the "standard" spec for even the original super light changed, over time. Mine was a late one and came standard with the momo. Tyres changed as well, early ones had ACB10's , later CR500's. Some came with the watt linkage as standard, some of us had to pay extra. They also had 4 point harnesses as standard, but funnily enough not a FIA bar. The standard spec was also 1.6 not 1.8, you could get that as an extra as with everything else. No spare wheel carrier. I beleive spring rates were also different?? and adjustable rear anti roll bar
  4. Simon, I have posted on the other thread. If you still have a 215 in soft I will take it...thanks. I do need it ASAP so if you could give me a call 07764 355690 I can arrange payment and shipmant address...or could I pick it up thanks again Paul Edited by - Paul Bowden on 10 Mar 2007 11:07:29
  5. Simon, Tuesday would be fine. 215 soft? Could you call me so I can chat over the situation i.e getting the money to you. The original was being put onto the rim and the plastic cover that protects the tyre from the metal press ( dont know the offical name) was not secure and took the rubber off the bead of the tyre. 6. Simon, Thanks.YHM. I need this tyre ASAP so may need to buy local, unless I can pick it up/have it delivered within a day or so. Any idea on reference numbers?
  7. As it looks as if I will need to buy another Kumho V70 , due to damage to one of my bulk buy tyres during fitting. What reference/,marking do I need to quote to ensure I get the soft compound type when I order from my local dealer. As you can imagine I dont trust any of these monkeys now, so I want to be sure I get the correct tyre
  8. Any one got a spare 215 V70 (soft)from the bulk buy. Just had mine fitted and one has been damaged, so I only have three wheels on my wagon

  12. Thanks Dave, looks good, 215 wide enough on 8.5 's? What wheel arches are you using? Edited by - Paul Bowden on 1 Jan 2007 16:09:52

    Kumo V70A

I am still trying to decide with what to replace my ACB10's. ( Cant use ACB10's in my local sprint championship). I have asked what to use a couple of times, and I am just after the latest thinking. Is it still Kumos. I include the size options. I am on 13" wheels. How wide can I go ( have split rims so rim width not a problem...what is the ultimate. 15. I have made the same change as Richard, and it certainly makes a difference, but as to quicker , I think that will depend on the course. If there is a really tight course, and a number of sprint courses have hairpins around a single bollard, then the lower ratio in second gear is a hugh bonus. But as Richard says there is the potential for more grear changes, sometimes, when you really could do with out it. Suppose that would be why race cars/ bikes change ratios to suit the individual track 😬
