About This Group

Not quite as MAD as the name may suggest, or maybe …… We meet on the last Wednesday of the month at The Partridge (Stretton, Cheshire, WA4 4LX) with some tables booked from 6:30pm onwards. The pub is located off the A49, just south of M56 junction 10 and has ample parking and great food. At our monthly meetings we enjoy the good company of other Seveners either outside with the cars, or inside the pub where the friendly staff are only too willing to accommodate with their excellent choice of food and drink. If you arrive and there’s no-one around the car park, we’ll be inside, you can’t miss us – we’re the ones in silly footwear sporting steering wheels as fashion accessories. Our location means that we have easy access to some of the finest driving roads in the country, the Cheshire “yellows”, North Wales, plus Oulton Park Circuit is only 20 minutes away. It can feel daunting for a new member attending an area meeting, but at MADS you’ll be welcomed with open arms. We have a warm and friendly collective from all walks of life, all bonded together by the faulty gene that makes us Seveners. Anyone looking to bring a Seven, buy a Seven, or just be enthusiastic about Sevens, please get in touch whether to share a merry tale, or twist somebody’s arm to aid in viewing a potential purchase! It’s what we’re here for. Stuart Forshaw +44 (0)7980 225642 mads@caterhamlotus7.club

  3. Latest News ... The 2024 C&L7C Officers Conference was held yesterday at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon - this is the one time in the year that provides an opportunity for all the officers of the club, Directors, Leadership Team, Area Representatives and support members to come together to discuss club matters. The event was extremely successful with some excellent presentations, including from Richard Nichol the Club Chair, Alan Tough as the Club Commercial Lead, and also Ted Marriott of Prostate Cancer Research. Additionally there was a session to learn more about the new Club Website led by Simon Houghton the Club General Secretary. The new website has been very well received and we intend to begin to make more use of some of the lesser obvious features of the site, a big one being news items like this which may ultimately replace the need for the majority of member directed emails. If you haven't already signed up to the MADS area news comms ..... To join the MADS area page - go to "Areas and Groups", then scroll down to "Merseyside & District Sevens (MADS)", and join the group; To follow news content you must then click "Follow"; You must then set your notifications in your account settings to receive notifications the way you want to, this is under "Followed Content". We can also run through this at the next MADS area meeting at The Partridge on 27/3/24 if anyone needs any help.
