  1. Ouch! minilights needing refurb are £120 a set. looks like my search has come to an abrupt stop!
  2. Skipper - Arch don't paint cars in house albeit they probably outsource. Chassis repairs they are undoubtedly the place to go to if you have a bronze welded chassis or CSR. Re painting - CJ Tallis in Hinckley used to paint sevens for Classic Carriage and the early days of Caterham Midlands so not sure whether they still do them. They used to paint the bulkhead and scuttle unlike some other painters who left these parts bare ally. My car was painted by them. Clive was the proprietor.
  3. Looking for a set of 6" 8 spokes without tyres (or scrap tyres). OK if they need refurbishing as long as they are straight / no gouges. Happy to take individual wheels and / or do a three way deal if someone is buying a set to get 8" rears.
  4. I wonder where you stand with insurance if you have a limited mileage policy and trackday cover?
  5. Andy, Unfortunately, that probably breaches the Blatchat Code of conduct. Ian
  6. It's either in the assembly guide or written on blatchat somewhere that with platforms you often need an extra washer to space the shock away from the tube. Its the large ones with the bevelled edge and 1/2" hole.
  7. I'd check the 'bridge' on which the steering rack sits - these are prone to bending. Also the rack fixings - these may have been nudged along.
  8. I've never heard of cut/shut inputs shafts only shortening at the end to suit particular engines Any pictures of the weld / breakage? Ian
  9. Re 1 - I sized the old washers (I only had 1 thickness) and ordered new ones from ebay. Inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness - they were a few pounds (<5) for 20. Ian
  10. Looks like it needs to be a PS2. A potential lead with Boombang. Ideally need one by early October.
  11. Not sure if you're aware, the heater valve is from a London TX2 Taxi and available new quite cheaply. Ia
  12. Nigel, Mine has a clevis pin and R clip for the clutch cable attachment to the pedal. Ian
  13. This has just popped up on ebay.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225768574074?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=tX3lUZOpRWe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=lIIQa3JRTlK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  14. There are companies that will copy / make proper old school enamel badges.
  15. Paul, My responses haven't been about the rubber dust cover and spring clip falling into the bellhousing, its been about why the cable fell out in the first place. If you read the extra notes pertaining to the part on the Caterham website, look at the images I've posted, they all point to the grommet being inserted into the fork keyhole to hold the cable in place. Regards Ian
  16. And assembly guide though I cannot find any reference to the rubber grommet in the text, only the diagram. The grommet effectively traps the inner cable into the fork.
  17. Paul, Yes, I believe - "clutch cable fell off the release arm" this is from the parts catalogue. Maybe something omitted / missing from yours....
  18. Tootstation stock PU adhesive albeit not the normal forum recommended brands. Screwfix have Sikaflex EBT which I 'think' is PU however the description doesnt specifically state it. I've used it for other things and it is very much like PU.
  19. The clutch fork should have a grommet in the larger hole to stop the inner cable coming adrift/displaced. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/seatbelts-harnesses/783-grommet-seatbelt-blanking-clutch-fork.html
  20. Be mindful its only suitable for strawberries and tomatoes :-)
  21. A previous club member made up a cover out of tent material before shower caps were a thing with elastic straps. IIRC he put the fabric on wrong side up, pinned the corners / fold lines and his wife ran it through the sewing machine. You could try and find a local tent repairer?
