  1. There were a load sold on ebay back in 2021 without dipstick and I did a mini bulk buy (including 21Jigsaw IIRC) as they were about a fiver each. A wanted advert may yield a spare. TBH they’re only a bit of turned ally. It must really grate having a se7en badge on a 21 😂
  2. I didnt use any lubricant when I fitted new gaitors to my rack. They’re thin rubber and stretch.
  3. I got mine new from BG Developments - purportedly the same one is used on a We$¥fi€ld !
  4. Personally, I wouldn’t put washing up liquid anywhere near engineered components. I can only assume GB was being facetious!
  5. They would also be useful for anyone who has taken a cage off as the forward legs use 7/16 bolts (seatbelt size). Look like they would cover to holes in the side skin.
  6. Just spotted on a Caterham for sale a couple of O rings on each of the bonnet springs - could be there to stop rubbing or rattling?
  7. Have you got the AP uprated brake M/C ? That comes with a plain cap / bellows. With the normal cap, leakage can occur on trackdays / sprints etc making a mess of the paintwork!!
  8. The throttle cable touches on some cars - any witness marks on the underside of the bonnet?
  9. Belmont in Stoney Stanton. I’m in Broughton BTW 👍
  10. Tyre sizes, particularly profile also affect comfort. 13s tend to have more sidewall than 15s so ride a bit softer.
  11. Like this if anyone is wondering - car (not mine) at Curborough. You could always try Arch and see if they’ll make you one.
  12. And googleing the caterham part number, EDP9976, it returns results of a rover part associated with the fuel filter adaptor.
  13. Bit of research and they are listed as a part…. https://caterhamparts.co.uk/gaskets/746-o-ring-fuel-filter-adaptor-to-pipe-rover.html
  14. I changed the fuel filter on my ‘98 K series car yesterday. I made three observations… 1) the new Bosch filter 0986 450 119 has an identical sticker on it compared to the Mann 612/2 I took off. 2) the grommet where the fuel hose passes through the boot floor metalwork had perished and partly disappeared. I replaced with a 20mm electrical open grommet, cut so I could get it around the hose then carefully poked into place with a small well used screwdriver. 3) the two metal fittings attached to the filter seemed to have tiny O rings. On this last point, I dont recall reading anything on blatchat about their replacement? What is the POBC thinking on this? All went back together OK and no leaks but if they should be changed as part of a filter swap I’d like to be prepared for next time and help others do the same! Ian
  15. Ital is 3.75” or 95.25mm PCD
  16. They’re not ‘that’ expensive for new complete units - Google Britax 9060 rear light. (I know you’re sorted - just added in case anyone searching the forum!)
  17. The other point to note is that heavy objects flying around in the boot easily dent the ally skin!
  18. 0-60 Longacre here - had it for several years. I like it because I can accurately get it to the right single unit of PSI (not easy on some gauges). I usually inflate higher using the compressor then bring it down using the release button on the Longacre. And it glows in the dark!
  19. So I’ve dug out the brochure and the full picture I thought was a purple car was actually blue. It does have a cropped picture of the image you posted above. I did find a smaller (2.5” x 1.5”) pic of a bluey purple HPC with grey interior and the distinctive shaped headrests.
  20. This might help…. fog light and heated screen are effectively the same on/off switch. The hazard has 6 wires so easy to spot the loom plug.
  21. Does anyone sit in the seat? If yes it could be a very bad idea removing the headrest. In an accident it will stop whiplash and head contact with FIA bar. Even with a helmet on the bar would need some sort of approved padding. Some people have added headrests directly to the FIA bar instead of the seat mounted one.
  22. This is exactly what I did.
  23. The brochure I have circa 1997 (when I ordered mine) has a cadburys purple seven in the pictures - I’ll dig it out and post a pic. Those original metal / enamel Lotus & Caterham badges are quite valuable and sought after.
  24. Did you get sorted? I have a copy I can send though just need read the article myself 😗!
