  1. Check your wishbone ends: http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/img/p/2262-2259-thickbox.jpg Or http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/img/p/3807-3781-thickbox.jpg The bottom image is a spherical bearing wishbone.
  2. You may want to check your requirement... They weren't used 22 years ago - d you have trunnions rather than these bearings??? Paul. you've been added to the list. Edited by - Eugene on 9 Oct 2013 18:53:49
  3. All will now be with circlips. And you're added to the list. When we are up to the number (the list is here and on 7-DNA) I'll be asking for shipping addresses so the supplier can provide postage costs for each individually (but I'm guess it will be fairly standard for all UK customers???)
  4. Added to the list - 8 out of 25 interested as of now (at x2 per interest).
  5. Circlip cost added to first post, and will be included in all orders... I guess this should be in Bulk Buys... will see if it can be moved. Adding all new names to the list now.
  6. I'll ask if the suppler will provide the Circlip too... Grubbster, you are added to the list. Edited by - Eugene on 9 Oct 2013 12:35:05
  7. I have been in contact with a supplier of these bearings. For a Bulk Order of 50pcs they can do the ABWT10 in NMB, Stainless Steel/PTFE Lined. Cost £17.74 each, plus VAT and postage Plus £0.30 each for the standard circlip, plus VAT and postage. Or £0.66 each for the 'spring' circlip, plus VAT and postage *Postage has been offered at two levels: Royal Mail Special Delivery £6.70 + VAT per 2 x bearings & circlips. (£8.04) This is signed-for, so secure postage. Standard 1st Class Post £3.10 + VAT + VAT per 2 x bearings & circlips. (£3.72) This is at the customer's risk. Please indicate your choice when supplying address details for postage. They are happy to post directly to multiple addresses - so direct to the end customer. These bearings are know to fail with some regularity, so worth both checking and replacing as needed. And having a couple spares is probably a good thing. As these are the actual units supplied to Caterham the cost saving is a good one So, add your name to this thread if interested! ************************************************************************************************************* Ok, we are ready to finalise everything. Please send an e-mail to 'eugene@7-dna.com' stating the following: User Name and number on the list Real Name Address Number of bearings (most are x2) Circlip type Required postage I will respond with payment details. When all payments are made the order will be placed with the supplier, and they will ship direct to each customer. Let me know if you have any questions. ************************************************************************************************************* E-mails with prices and payment instructions have gone out to all names with a http://www.7-dna.com/forums/img/smilies/hi.gif Those names without the waving smilie have yet to provide name and address info... If your name as a waving smilie but you have no e-mail please let me know! Edited by - eugene on 24 Oct 2013 09:10:47

I guess the My Lotus Seven Club pages are not well used - here, but there is a rather large amount of spam postings there now. Needs better anti-spam controls.
  9. Redtop Zetec.... http://www.racelineonline.co.uk/Uploads/product_images/zetec_r_engine.jpg Blacktop Zetec http://www.racelineonline.co.uk/Uploads/product_images/zetec_r_focus_engine.jpg See: http://www.racelineonline.co.uk
  10. As for the original question - this website may help: http://www.zetec-cat.co.uk/ 😶‍🌫️
  11. I went the 2L 210BHP Zetec route a while back... See: Eugene here With 45 Webers it's still just like a X-Flow, but with none of the drawbacks. As far as best value for you pound I don't think you will better it. And no, I really don't think anyone would pay a premium for a X-Flow seven... that's just not what 7 ownership is really about (I think). And the conversion is something you could easily do yourself.
  12. Eugene has been 2L Black Top powered for a while... See: HERE for some basic info. I prefer 45 Webers over TB's, as It keeps the 'X-Flow' sound and feel, and also runs amazingly well. Just make sure to get the 5 progression hole versions. I'd suggest talking to Chris Wheeler, 7 Workshop. He has done a number of Zetec conversions, including Eugene.
  13. Re Eugenes post - I'm sure Massa had done a fair few miles before his incidentI have more chance being hit crossing the road than having a problem with debris when driving Aero... I still cross the road. I guess it just depends on your level of acceptable 'danger'. We all know smoking kills, but a lot still smoke. I just love the 'feeling' of aero without a bash hat, and nothing will change that enjoyment for me!
  14. Been using Aero's for years - Brooklands. Never had a problem in over 100K miles of Aero sevening... Never wear a bash hat, as I do think it tends to make you look a tool, and more importantly it tends to isolate you from your surroundings too much, which in a 7 is very important as you have to be aware of everything and everyone around you on the road - different on a race track. With a bash hat it is much harder to drive defensively, and react to other's idiotic driving. (An no, it's not the same as on a bike due to the different driving/riding position). I also use glasses, and have a pair of Adidas Climacool sunglasses with prescription inserts. Means I can easily change the lenses for day/night driving. And use a buff around the neck and lower face, and a beanie when cold/raining/snowing... Ans sun-cream when sunny!!! It's the only way to drive a 7!!! http://www.7-dna.com/forums/img/smilies/lebogclub.gif
  15. Titon can make their harnesses with the adjusters in different locations to suite any specific vehicle... I got mine from 7 Speed, but Meteor should be very similar. 7 Speed to have a 10% discount on offer at the moment
  16. So 7 DNA is not you and Carl? You have not set this web site up together? You have no connection with Carl. yes or no I have done all the work on 7-DNA myself, with no help from anyone else... Carl and other Le BOG Club members have 'moderation' capability, as they were the first users, and as that is a job for more than one person - and other people have been, and will be, asked to help too if/as the forum grows. 😬 The forum is NON-COMMERCIAL so what's the relevance to such questions anyway. Carl, and others, are helping with the generation of 'items' to be sold at cost to any forum participants - and the t-shirts/polo shirts are the first of such participant benefits... We are working on making it so that the final purchasers can directly order them, in the style they want (using the artwork I have personally designed), even with user additions, such as forum user name, and with/without URL, etc. I have even added a 'Clams' silhouette logo as I was asked about that, and am working on an S4 version now. What more can I say??? Some people really are reading a lot into something that is just a bit of fun for me and the others involved! Edited by - Eugene on 6 Aug 2013 22:32:27
  17. Oh, and if ANY other suppliers of 7 related stuff wants to directly advertise on 7-DNA, they can! As it is non-commercial, there are no restrictions at all on direct advertising/selling. So if you have a 'special' deal for other 7 owners, let us all know about it! 😬
  18. I have absolutely no business links with 7 Speed (or any other company come to that - just Light Illusion, my own company, which has no association with anything 7 related). As for the owner of 7-DNA, I guess that is me as I have personally financed it (to the tune of about £30 quid - as that's all it costs!!!). 7 Speed have an offer in Titon harnesses, which I personally thought would be of interest to other 7 owners... There is no commercial benefit for me, or 7-DNA as it IS NON-COMMERCIAL (how many times has that been said?). Bottom line, many special offers are highlighted for other 7 Club members on this forum, and this is just one more. If you don't want to know about such offers, just ignore them???
  19. This may be of interest... 10% OFF TITON 4 Point Harnesses
  20. I have and love Titons - purchased from 7 Speed, as Carl really knows his stuff. See: Titons @ 7 Speed The piccys are of Eugene with the harnesses fitted.
  21. As a lot of you will know Eugene is a 2L Black-Top Zetec on 45s... I spent a lot of time working the jetting, and making a bespoke 3D map. I found the 5 hole 45s made a huge difference to smooth pick-up. And as anyone who has run with me will know, Eugene goes rather well. Topped 210 BHP on Wilshers Garage's rolling road 😬
