    Track day tyres

Thanks for your responses. Jez - interesting comment. Open diff as well. I don't want a boring car 😬. Gary - thanks for the info. I'm out of country at the mo, so it won't be till early next year when I need them. I've also been offered some part worn ACB10's. Decisions decisions. Richy
  5. I have enough trouble seeing out of the rear window of the Seven's hood. Tinting would only make it worse 😬 Richy

    Track day tyres

Track day tyres only. Used up the tread on the old CR500's I bought 2nd hand last year. Any suggestions on what tyres I should put on next? 6 inch wheels all round. Sticky slicks? or blagging more old tyres off Blatchat? 125bhp Sigma. Richy
  7. Quoting billyboanerges: My master cylinder spills fluid if over-filled. I keep it at a level where the warning light just flashes under rapid acceleration, any more fluid and it leaks - maybe the cap. Tony Same here - at least the occasional flashinh warning light assures me it's working! Richy

  10. Much better now. Still a slight squeak occasionally when hot, but much improved. 7WotW: I'll see how I get on with the shims fitted before deciding whether to remove them. Thanks for all the advice. Richy
  11. Thanks. Noticed this morning they were very squeally (spelling?) after a few miles. Not just the odd small squeak, but very loud. Have now fitted the rubber shims and applied copper-slip to the back. Will see how they are tomorrow, and I'll check the pedal feel as well. On this morning's test drive, I managed to get one of the fronts locking up - which was very rare with the standard pads. Richy
  12. Just fitted these to the standard fronts. Included in the box were 4 self-adhesive rubber sheets. Anyone know what these are for? Richy
  13. Thought this might be a new variation on following hounds
  14. So, where are the rack knuckles on that picture? Behind the top damper bolt? Richy
  15. Not done it, or heard of it - mine are drilled through the stays. Yours sounds like a very good idea. Richy
  16. Quoting Rampmonkey: a black cylinder approximately 10cm long and 4cm diameter. Whenever I press the immobiliser key fob, it buzzes incessantly. Are you sure it belongs to the car? 😬
  17. Can't see the point on a car engine. Big stuff, then yes.
  18. Depends on the grade of grit he uses, and the pressure.
  19. Who named their chicken after a deep fat fryer? 😬

  22. I seem to remember you need to remove both sections of boot flooring to access the harness connector to the RHS brake light alongside the fuel tank. Richy
