  1. I totally agree on your aesthetic judgment. Hopefully it will all go smoothly from here on in!
  2. No doubt FI is a very effective remedy to your issues. Many complain about keeping carbs in tune/smooth running problems etc. My xflow ran well on dcoe 40’s and the zetec now does the same. I can honestly say they are no bother after 15 years of running them. So, they can be reliable etc when we’ll set up and in good order. Maybe you’re looking for an excuse to upgrade or maybe you will miss the noise etc. Your call. Not sure I have helped much, but good luck sorting it one way or another. I love my carbs!
  3. Interested in what John G’s car came with. My ‘94 car came with the more modern type...
  4. There’s one just posted in for sale. Not sure if it would fit a metric car but worth checking.
  5. Thanks Jk. You can just see one here they were padded by oxted but retained the original size which works well - better than the picture looks as they are a little forward. They are height adjustable also
  6. I removed my headrests and got oxted to trim in padded black leather the head restraints that fit to the fia bar. They did a neat job. Can’t seem to link a photo.
  7. Spotted. I was in the black XC90 full of children. Very envious despite the weather and hold ups. Have fun!

  9. Yes, but I gather getting it to fit under the bonnet is a bit tricky...
  10. Thanks for confirming my thoughts. The dipping looks interesting. Thanks for the link.
  11. I have a fairly basic looking stainless steel spark plug cover for my black top zetec. Does anyone know if a vinyl wrap would cope with the temperature or is it likely to end in a sticky mess down in the plug wells? Thanks in advance!
  12. Blue with white stripes burbling across Chelsea Green yesterday. Looked a nice day for it!
  13. FYI My prisoner wheels have the same alloy one piece design as the hpc wheels...
  14. BMW 330d MSport Touring (E91) 2008. 71,000 miles with full BMW service history. Atlas Grey with full black leather interior, professional navigation upgrade, xenon headlights, 6 speed auto with paddle change on the steering wheel. Bluetooth telephone and ipod connectivity. A great family car for the last 6 years (now selling as need more seats!) and one previous owner, plus demonstrator. Everything works, body is very tidy and the interior looks fresh and tight. The car drives perfectly, and the only fault is that the alloys would benefit from a refurb. A fabulous car with plenty of power, economical and in my view great looks. Thought I'd offer it here before going to auto trader. It really is a great car. £9500.
  15. Gordon, Not sure if my email sent. Let me know if you haven't received it. Thanks. Robert
  16. Thanks for the replies to date. Jk, the filler point is the highest point on the system and I can't see any other bleed points. I assume therefore I can just fix the leaking joint and top up the coolant. Fingers crossed!
  17. So, my Zetec engined car was installed by Raceline without an expansion tank. I think I have a slight leak from a pipe to my old scuttle mounted flat heater. How do I check coolant level - is it just up to the filler cap? Also if I lose coolant sorting the leak am I likely to create an air lock with this system or do I just top it up? I assume filler cap must be on when the engine is running. Thanks in advance.
  18. I'm interested if these are still available? Need to check if they would fit my '93/94 car. Are the springs progressive? Thanks. Robert
  19. My 93/94 built car seems to have missed the poor powder coating. All still original and whilst I have touched up in places, after 22 years that is fair enough. No sign of the bubble on the skin by the grot trap either. All in all pretty good. Do we know if something changed with the powder coating, and when exactly?
  20. All arrived safely. Thank you Richard. The grill looks fab and I am not sure if I can bring myself to paint it! Also loving the bottle openers. Roll on Le Mans, stubby bottles of beer and great car chat!!!
  21. Will do Richard. Thanks for the update. Robert
  22. Perfect. Thanks Richard. Payment made via PayPal.
  23. A bit late to this thread but I would like one for my 1994 s3 if available. Also I would be interested in the ultimate Le Mans campsite brag - a Ti beer bottle opener! Let me know what I need to do! Thanks. Robert
  24. Hi. I'm not sure as only taking measurements from battery specs on line. I will check and come back to you but it may not be immediately as Christmas draws near. That's for you help so far. Robert.
