  1. I have various spares. I know for certain they are ITW switches, as is the big red starter button. I just don't remember if the switches used by CC were pre-wired or not. I will have a look at a spare next time I'm in the garage (8 miles away, so not there every day - just like not on BC every day, so sorry for the delay)
  2. The ones used by Caterham are ITW switches and can be found at RS Could be stock No 248-8935
  3. Normally, if you can tow your car legally in your home country, you also can abroad
  4. Andrew, For that you want an AGM - or better still a LiFePo4 - battery. An ordinary start battery dislikes being discharged. I guess sending one from Denmark would not make sense ;-)
  5. It certainly is metric - just a bit unsure if it's M18 and not M20.
  6. Roger The Audi LeMans TDI engine had iron pistons. (I was surprised too) https://www.mpulse.mahle.com/en/article/consequences%20for%20pistons
  7. Depending on what flywheel, alternator and other ancillaries you have on the engine will it weigh around 80 kgs. Istr the type 9 gearbox is around 30kgs,could be 35 though If you aim for a 150kg trolley you're more than safe.
  8. An overtightended cambelt can certainly sound like a supercharger, but why should it suddenly start after 2 years?
  9. I've been taught to test all new tyres at 4bar (60PSI-ish) to ensure they don't blow in use. Never had issues with ZZSs though.
  10. I have the connectors in stock. I think I got them from Würth - but I had to take 100. I'm sure they'll fit in an envelope if you need some...
  11. And it could also be caused by a poor earth, especially when it happens during cranking
  12. Wonder how much a New Old Stock would be worth :-o
  13. Even with carbs 3D ignition will significantly improve drivability and fuel consumption
  14. 2008 would be EU4 in real world of cars
  15. The R400K is not approved to any Euro norm. I guess with the batched injection and the location of the catalyst you'll struggle to make it pass an appropriate test. EU3 may be within reach, but that's about it. I think the SAIC K-series (L-series) was updated to EU4, but that would not be in Caterham trim.

    Headlamp Nut

"Changed from 21 to 24mm... " That's the wrong way to go as this must add material and thereby weight!
  17. Not much information here ;-)
  18. You've done it again. I'm truly impressed with your work Andrew
  19. Depending on the lift you may have to reverse in as the front arms may not reach the narrower front end of the chassis. I have a Maha 3t 2post lift and sometimes I reverse in, on other ocations I swap the arms on the lift
  20. Presumably this one: https://www.tooled-up.com/facom-34-piece-3-8-drive-bi-hexagon-socket-set-metric-and-imperial/prod/145994/
  21. For anyone who doesn't know: Facom is a top brand in tools.
  22. My guess is that it was made before those drawings were computerised ;-)
  23. But still it would indicate that it's the relay unit that's faulty, and as you presumably can't replace a single relay due to the resin, then you just want to know there is a fault ;-)
