Being of a socially responsible size, in my S3 I simply pull my left leg back and move my left foot under my right knee to rest against the outer skin, or pull my left leg back raising my knee to rest against the tunnel with enough space (just) to clear the steering wheel. Both relieve the tedium of a gear-changing-less stretch and stop the leg going into hibernation. Peter
  7. My R300K with 8 inch rears has mild understeer which, with the LSD, turns to snap oversteer if one over corrects too enthusiastically...not that I've ever got myself into that situation with a passenger who went very quiet, you understand. Peter

  9. Chris Glad to hear that the problem seems to have been sorted. Fingers crossed. Having had rough running and hesitation on my K series earlier this year, various fiddles seem to have cleared up the problem. I just don't which change or combination of changes made the difference. Peter

  17. I use some standard edge protector material . Works fine. Peter
  18. When I liquid wax the 7 I also coat the alloys too. It then only takes seconds per wheel with an old rag or sheet of kitchen towel to remove the dust. No need for any elbow grease. Peter
  19. Chris I had a similar problem a few years ago on my S3. Lifting the breather tube a few cm and securing it cured the problem. Peter
