  5. John - I'd difficulty getting off the sofa last night! :0 It was good to meet you yesterday. Peter
  6. T'was a great day and a great way to cover 180 miles. Double egg and double sausage and chips at Goodwood for lunch and then home for cottage pie and a pint followed by rhubarb crumble and custard for dinner. Life is good :) Peter
  7. Erngor - you have a message. Peter
  8. I've spoken to Julian Ash at ACES who was very patient and helpful. I've confirmed that the OE unit under the dash is the Sureshift SL which cannot be programmed by the user (unlike the SB). The good news is that ACES will open the SL unit and do their electronic fiddles to reprogramme it to my requirements for a very reasonable sum. Peter
  9. That makes me a little tanker then... Peter
  10. Nigel - I've found the silver thin rectangular box connected to the shift lights but it shows no sign of being programmeable. Is yours in the sister R300 similar? I have a call out to ACES. Peter
  11. Julian - Indeed! As I'm doing the track laps at Classic Le Mans I want to know in good time when I'm about to run out of revs in sixth down the Mulsanne Straight... ;) Peter
  12. Nigel Thanks. I'll have another look for the module. Peter
  13. Was the standard equipment shift light unit made by ACES and is it programmeable? Re-programming needed after engine upgrade! Peter
  14. Julian - you're welcome to come and see my double D Roadsport cage and how it's fitted to my Seven (by Gary May no less)! Peter
  15. Nick - Would you like to be in my car for the CLM track laps or strapped to the rollcage? ;) Peter
  16. At separate points east of Four Elms - a red and ali Seven (Y reg?) with two up, and a few miles back, a bright green Seven. I was in the orange R300 playing my favourite new game of switch between the new ECU maps. ;) It turned out to be a great day for a blat. Peter
  17. Does anyone know the wet grip rating for Toyo 888s? CR500s are A rated and ZZSs are only C rated. Peter
  18. Paddy - I'll pass your details to the vendor and I'm sure he'll be in touch. Peter
  19. As you look forward to Spring and more settled weather, now is the time to get that aeroscreen you always promised yourself to experience in your face blatting! On behalf of a former member: For a lardy butt Seven - Carbon aeroscreen with carbon centre mirror and grp side mirrors. In good condition. £250. If interested, let me know and I'll put you in touch with the vendor. Peter

  21. Chris Congratulations on the new tintop. The trusty old Focus didn't owe you anything! Hope you are both still on the mend. Peter
  22. I think I have two or three CR500s in the garage with road legal amounts of tread. Can check this evening. Peter
  23. I've had a similar problem with my R300K which I've sorted by resetting the TPS. A fiddly but ultimately a straightforward job which even I can do. Peter
