  1. For piano learning offspring, if you have a Clavinova 625 or 635 (or better with a full 88 key keyboard ) and are thinking of getting rid of it, or know someone who wants rid of one, do let me know. It must be in full working order. Peter
  2. What an idiot! I'm glad I have never done anything so stupid. (Thanks to John at Redline a few years ago for sorting my fumble. He sorted it in minutes wit a magnet and hand turning the innards. I didn't feel like an complete ****** at all.) Peter
  3. Strange. I have used locking wheel nuts on my Sevens for 12 years without a problem. Tyre fitters do struggle to get the weights in non-fouling positions on the wheels, but a properly set up Seven shouldn't have problems with locking wheel nuts. On the GP circuit at Brands last year, I have no issues at full pelt. My car has been flat floored and laser aligned eye. Peter
  4. For road use I run ZZSs at 17.5 psi and never more than 18 psi or the ride becomes much too hard. (R300K on Nitrons.) Peter
  5. For my Gas man who has a 1975 Honda SL125 with only 7,000 miles. He's looking for a replacement carburretor but not the grey/rubbish ones available on Ebay. Honda have not been helpful. Peter
  6. Try also BOSS Racing in Longfield near Brands Hatch. My car's handling was transformed for the better with a flat floor etc. set up when I had Nitrons fitted a couple of years ago. Peter

Today at about 1030 just past the Shell station, blue with a registration I may now have not quite remembered properly, but I have Y 362 UKM in my befuddled head. Peter
  8. Si I'll have it as a spare please. Peter
  9. Martin Knobs! And door hinges, brickwork, door locks and such architectural features taken from unusual angles so that they are unrecognisable. Peter
  10. You must be getting old! You'd take the girlfriend out on a freezing cold day rather than stay at home snuggled in romantic carnal embrace. Actually, I see your point.. I'm rapidly approaching that stage where I don't want my bluff called, at least not without two weeks' notice . Happy New Year Peter
  11. Chris I presume it was SWMBO in the passenger seat but you were both so well layered in clothing (understandably!) it was difficult to tell. Spotted you heading west in Brasted about 1450 today while walking with the family as my daughter took photos for a homework assignment. I hope you had a good blat. Peter
  12. Alan - you have a message Peter
  13. I had a similar issue for a few years with a buzzy rattling noise somewhere on the nearside which I thought was something in or around the roll cage, or possibly an old rivet in the chassis. Cleaning the muck of the exhaust earlier this year, I found that one of the clips holding the heat shield on the cat had corroded and was no longer holding the heat shield in place. I replaced both clips and no more buzzy rattling. So simple. I'm glad I didn't embark on removing the roll cage etc... Peter
  14. Simon Yours is certainly a lovely car and has been well looked after. Whoever buys it - not me, I'm too small for my S3! - will be getting a great car. Peter
  15. I haven't had time yet to work myself up into a mildly violent rage - TV trailers for Saturday evening programmes on BBC and ITV usually do the trick - but I might take a run at it next week which will give me time to practice some base Anglo-Saxon to serenade my frustration. Peter
  16. Thanks for the ideas. Keep them coming. Peter
  17. Ian Not that I can see. It's all pretty smooth in there. P
  18. 2004 R300K on 6"x13 front and 8"x13 rear all on 8 spoke anthracites. I run 3x wheel nuts and one locking wheel nut per corner. I changed the wheels today ahead of reduced use of the Seven over the autumn and winter, putting on the spare set of wheels with CR500s to replace the Avon ZZSs which took a bit of a mauling at the Brands trackday last month. One of the wheel nut collars on the offside rear refused to part from the wheel which inspired three on the nearside rear to steadfastly refuse to budge. Thankfully, I have some spare wheel nuts and collars. I've done what seemed to be obvious at the time and liberally sprayed the refuseniks with WD40, but cannot see how to get any purchase on the blighters to persuade them to come out. Any ideas? Peter
  19. Dremel Hobby Engraver 290-3/4 Compact Tool (35 W), 3 Accessories, 4 Stencils sold on Amazon at £29.99 I bought this as one of SWMBO's birthday presents. I'm just an old romantic! However, it seems that I had already previously bought her one for a birthday or Christmas present . How am I meant to keep track of my generosity? For sale unused and box unopened at £25 inc p&p within the UK. Peter

  21. Wow. He's been travelling as fast as pootling. You'll be telling me next that he crossed the gate and engaged third gear. Peter
