  1. Hi Neil, Sorry been out all day just sent you a mail. Alan
  2. Hi I will take this if not already sold Alan
  3. My old De Walt one has taken a huge amount of abuse now for several years and yes I am biased 😬
  4. Peter - YHM re some carbs I have Alan
  5. Just checked ones on the car are the newer longer ones so the spare one I have are for the older through the middle of the tube. Alan
  6. I have a spare set for the back, taken off my HPC when I changed all the suspension. You are welcome to these if they are of any use. Alan
  7. Tim Found them, BM me your address and I will get them sent to you in the next couple of days. Regards Alan
  8. Tim I am sure I have a set in the garage somewhere that you are welcome to have. Will have a look for them this morning and confirm later. Alan
  9. John The hoses used on mine have an internal diameter of 15mm. As for the car now it is on TB's first impressions are all very positive but to be honest not had a chance to do many miles. Nothing else was changed and I gained 10 hp and torque. Feels smoother and it has better pick up only downside is no more pops and bangs on downshifts - or perhaps I am not trying hard enough! One thing I have learnt with mechanical gauges is that when the engine appears warm from the water gauge oil still has some way to go. Alan
  10. John I got my gauges from Racetech and everything else from Think automotive. I used the hoses that push on to the special "fir tree" fittings and these have been fine. Initial suggested hose diameter from Think was too small and I changed everything for the next size up. Can check the size I went for if you need that. The remote filter is mounted just behind the radiator fairly low down, was not sure about this but in the end that is where James Whiting put it for me and it has been fine there. Did look for other options but none were as easy. If you want some pictures I can try and take some but not sure how clear they will be. Alan
  11. I cannot recall all the detail of why etc but when I went mechanical with pressure and temp I ended up installing a remote filter with take offs. Would need to look to remind myself of exactly what went where.

    Hazard lights

Thanks for all the tips, currently abroad (again!). Will have a play on Friday evening and see if I can fix it. If all else fails have new switch and flasher relay, at least I hope that is what's in the small parcel that I am told has arrived at home.

    Hazard lights

Thanks for the replies, will have a go at the switch and see if I can fix it but have ordered new switch and relay anyway as a fall back. Alan

    Hazard lights

Hi, Checking all my lights etc before car goes in for it's MOT next weekend. All lights working but the Hazard lights are only working intermittently. To start with nothing then if I work the switch a few times I get the drivers side working and sometimes both sides. I am useless with electrics, is this likely to be the switch or the relay or both? Alan
  15. Scott I have a pair that I have been asked to sell for a friend who is no longer a member. They are of a car running the larger HPC wheels. They have also been drilled. Are these of interest? Alan

    MBE 967EF ecu

Hi Collected my car this morning and first impressions all positive but only driven about 60 miles. Firstly have gained both power and torque, Troy did before and after graphs. I didn't expect this so 😬 Car feels smoother and more responsive, idles better as well. Looking at the invoice I think it must have taken about 4 hours to map it. Not much more to say right now just need to find some time and half decent weather Alan

    MBE 967EF ecu

My 218 spec HPC is with Troy next week having TB set up and mapped so if you can wait until next Friday I can tell what it feels like to go from carbs to TB set up Hoping it will be 😬 all round
  18. Has anyone on here got any experience of removing one of the larger "saddle" type of fuel tanks? This is the type of tank fitted to the JPE cars. Need to replace the seal on the fuel sender and it is not accessible with the tank in the car on these tanks and I would like to know how to get the tank out. Would like to think it may come out through the boot but have a strong suspicion I will need to remove all rear suspension and the diff and lower it out. Alan
  19. I am in process of changing from carbs to Throttle bodies and can see no reason why I need to change the hoses. I have silicone already fitted but cannot remember where I got them. Alan
  20. Check but I am fairly sure Northampton Motorsport will do this for you. Alan
  21. Blackhawk proto is a brand owned by the Stanley Black & Decker group, not sure exactly where we make them as this is a US brand not used much if at all in EU. Alan
  22. I am ok with this but note I go away Sunday morning to India so collection from me would need to be the following weekend
