  1. Would now post to U.K. aeroscreen £350 mirrors £335 or knock £10 off if you could collect.
  2. All unused as new, aero screen and doors still in unopened packaging. ideally like sell screen and mirrors together £700 Half doors £350 - now sold. prefer collection from Chelmsford
  3. Parts Warranty is in place as I only picked it up at beginning of July, they said at the time I picked it up they would consider contributing to labour if anything was an engine or gearbox out job. I understand that if they didnt actually build it and the fault is because of an incorrect build which isnt obvious during PBC then it should be down to the owner but if a part they supplied is faulty or fails and its something they know can be an issue they really should offer to do it.
  4. I didin't pay for the extra labour warranty, actually thought it was I year parts but when I picked it up they said it was 2 years. Reason I was arguing with them was that this seems to be a known issue on a part that is supplied as a unit and occured on the day I picked it up.
  5. I think they would have a hard time refusing any warranty claim on the diff after they refused to do it.
  6. I think if I had really pushed in the end they might have done it but dont know how long that would have taken, it took a few days to get them to agree to pay for the oil. Plus 100 mile round trip to Crawley on the motorway as they had said it cant wait till first service I reckon would have been looking at a couple of weeks not able to drive the car, so I let it go.
  7. Thanks but I only need to move the driveshaft out about 50-60mm to disconnect it from the diff so cant see what they would get in the way of?
  8. CC finally agreed to send new seal and new diff oil, so starting to look at removing the old one. Am I right that I can remove the caliper from the caliper carrier and leave the carrier attached to the hub assembly? It would mean I have to move the caliper a shorter distance to clear the disc which would help in not damaging the brake line.
  9. Despite thinking that CC really should do the whole job under warranty I am leaning towards just asking them to send the new seal and throw in new oil for the diff and I will do it myself, saves me the hassle of getting there and back and hanging around while they do it plus waiting for them to advise when they could do it, they said it should be 1/1.5 hours labour so maybe 2/2.5 for me which would be much quicker than taking it to them and I can start the work of removing while I wait for the part. A few question if anyone can help, can I remove the brake caliper and just lift it slightly out of the way without removing the brake lines? Apart from disconnecting from the De Dion is the anti roll bar the only other thing I need to disconnect? Think I will have to cut the zip ties that attach the handbrake cable and the one which attaches the speed sensor cable but cant see anything else that would need to be moved?
  10. Thanks, not going to let this go with CC yet but if it isn’t too difficult to do then might be easier do it myself rather than wait for time when they can do it and drive it there and hang around while it’s done, then drive back, it’s not a great drive for me to Crawley, basically Mway for 95%
  11. CC have come back to me saying they can either send me a new seal or I can take the car to them to do but will have to pay labour as my warranty only covers parts, and it needs to be done not left till 1st service. Not happy view I discovered the leak on the day I picked it up and pretty sure it must have been there already, they had done 44 miles in the car. Any one know how difficult it is to change it, presume you have to dismantle the hub to remove the drive shaft which is a pain as I don’t have a torque wrench suitable for re tightening the hub nut.
  12. Well looks like its the diff, think there is a poss there might also have been a slight brake fluid leak which was confusing things but that now seems to be ok. After a 15 minute drive looked under the car and oil down right side of diff forming drip at the bottom and some spatter in various places, this also looks darker than the picture I posted which still think might have been brake fluid but no sign of leak from around the union now.. Will give CC a call and see what they say, remember reading that for service they now saying only put 800ml in the diff whereas build manual says 1.0l so possibly could have something to do with it unless they check this at the PBC which I kind of doubt. Glad at least that brakes seem ok as was bit nervous about driving it if it was a brake problem, dont think the leak from the diff precludes driving it but it does make a bit of a mess.
  13. Applied the brake pedal a couple of times for about 45 seconds each time first thing this morning and just checked and no sign of leak so maybe tightening the right hand coupling on the union has done the trick, fingers crossed. Need to take it for a drive to be sure as last week there was no sign of the leak with the car sitting after applying pedal pressure, although dont think I did it for so long or as hard, and then after driving the leak was back.
  14. Thanks, was out all day yesterday so will have another look today and see if its leaked where I stuck the paper and if its that T union I'll dig out the build manual and have a look.
