  1. Skeetsy & Charles Elliott - I'd like to sell these as a set, if I can, thanks all the same. Daz00004 - You have first dibs for the set, i'll get some pictures emailed. Paul.H - you have 2nd dibs. Paul
  2. 2x 6x13 Caterham Anthracite wheels with 175/55x13 CR500 tyres, and 2x 8x13 Anthracites with 205/55 CR500s. Wheels have a few scuffs and chips, tyres have between 2 and 3.5mm of tread. Can be collected from Derby, or taken to Llandow, Llys-y-Fran or Curborough in the next couple of weeks, and perhaps a GONAD could be arranged. £280.00
  3. Not the best news for some of us - certainly the value of Jon Ward's assets has taken a hit. We have been looking at the AD08 for the last half of 2011, and have spoken to a couple of competitors in other championships who use them, particularly one of the Westfield guys. The view seems to be that, although they give good mechanical grip, they have stiff sidewalls, and may suit heavier cars better. Certainly, they may require a reduction in negative camber, so they aren't a simple swap. Oh well, c'est la vie. Paul
  4. Thanks Simon. Fingers crossed Paul
  5. Unless i'm missing something obvious,it looks as though Scudo Stunners are no longer in List 1a of the 2012 MSA Blue Book. Is this because they are no longer produced, and if so, can we still run them, given that they were OK last year? Paul
  6. Thanks, but I've arranged with Steve at SPC to sort mine out now. Paul
  7. Hi Alan, I'm not falling for that old trick 😬 The car spent it's previous life on the wide open spaces of Silverstone, Spa, Donnington etc., so it still has the standard ratio. Paul
  8. Thanks to the both of you. It looks like i'm sorted, now. Paul
  9. Any more out there - preferably around the midlands, or close to Road & Race? Thanks Paul
  10. Thanks, Mark. I'll phone you later. Paul
  11. At the end of an excellent evening, I managed to leave my championship results picture on a table in the hotel bar - I blame the drink. The hotel believe that someone collected it on my behalf, so if that person could get in touch, I would be grateful. I'd like to add my thanks to Simon and all who took part in the organisation of the event, to the point of arranging for the venue to be within walking distance of my house. I would have been home within 15 minutes if could have walked in a straight line Thanks Paul
  12. Richard, String Quartet of wins? Some suggestion of a Fiddle? Sorry, just trying to cheer myself up - 5th in class!!! Paul
  13. Thanks, Paul. I seem to recall that the subject was mentioned once on Blatchat - i'll do a search. Paul
  14. Any chance of a space for a Class 2 representative? Not sure who else has entered Class 2, apart from El Rob, who will be staying with relatives, and the hardy, camping CaterBrams. So it would be good to have someone from Class 1 to talk Yokos and Stunners with, just in case the conversation turns to tyres. Thanks, Paul
  15. Can't say, but this man has "form" - there is evidence that he has been involved in this kind of activity for several years. I'm thinking particularly of a case at Loton Park using the same modus operandi - i.e. keeping out-of-sight by using the ditch. Paul
  16. Malcolm, I mentioned this car to a colleague today, and he expressed interest - is it still for sale? Paul
  17. Having camped at Llys-y-Fran and Epynt (and survived) this season, I'm taking my crowd-pleasing '2-Second Tent' to Harewood. If the weather is OK, I'll probably take a camping stove, and cook the Grand Prix driver's supper of pasta, with a light sauce. Then ruin it on Sunday morning with a bacon butty. I camped at Harewood several years ago, and it was quite civilised, among the motorhomes in the trailer park. See you there. Paul
  18. My car's being driven by ex-Genesis drummer-then-front-man, not-done-anything-decent-since-the-eighties Phil Collins. Still, I'm coming along in case he gets a better gig on the day. Paul
  19. YHM re. the damper extensions. Paul
  20. Great stuff, Matt! I seem to feature quite heavily in there, mainly due to you capturing my unconventional use of the run-off area on the last bend - if I blatmail, can you send me the evidence, i.e. pictures of car 74, please? Paul
  21. Hi Jon, I've got a pair of front spring seats, but not the threaded sleeves or circlips, and I have a pair of well-used rear adjustable bilsteins with springs. I will be at Curborough on Thursday, so I will bring them along and you can have a look. Paul
  22. Didn't get an email, David Paul Collins
  23. I too, had a brand new wheel with a casting hole behind the spoke, just last year. It was one of a set that had been supplied direct from KN as a solution to a different issue. They did a straight exchange. Paul
  24. Mike Car's going alright (mid-year engine swap helped!) - still miss the mid-range thrust of the crossflow, though! Paul
