After the car being laid-up for the winter, it has emerged with a seized throttle pedal. Slackening the securing bolt instantly freed the pedal, and I'm now mystified as to how it's worked satisfactorily for so long.
The bolt was very tight, with a spring washer, so I was assuming that it clamped a bush upon which the pedal pivoted, but the bush in the pedal is clearly not designed to move.
As far as I can see, the only way to restore it's operation would be to slacken the bolt, to allow movement - surely this can't be right?
